Moderate Symbol of Fire

The blacktus flower is sometimes found near cactuses in the desert biomes. The name of this plant comes from the black nectar that seeps from the flower, but nonetheless, it's a red flower. The flower and nectar itself is generally edible, but it can have some very altering effects. This flower in itself can be used as a drug. This was originally used as an anasthetic drug, but due to the dangerous effects of the drug, such as aggression, superhuman strength, paranoia, disorientation, hallucinations and dissociative symptoms upon moderate consumption, the medicinal use of this flower was discontinued. The users of this drug will have an increased body heat, dilated or black eyes, so it's not suprising to see them running around without a shirt on. Such users will have little control over their own movements and thoughs and if aggressive will be prone to attack others, and even inanimate objects indiscriminantly.

Overdose of this drug can cause seizures, coma and death if such death is not caused by suicide or accidental cause. When you look at such people, their expressions would appear blank, or lost. They may behave as if they are of another world. They may behave strangely, such as incoherent speech, walking around in circles, dancing, or singing.

The nectar may taste sweet, and can consumed, injected or snorted. It can even be used with food or drink, but consumption with alcohol will amplify the mental effects. The nectar may make food or drink taste slightly sweeter.

When under the influence, their senses are dulled or altered. A primary side effect of this drug is extreme euphoria. They will feel invincible or empowered. They will hallucinate, act strangely. When under the effects of the drug, all sense of logic and rationale are gone. They will lose themselves, as if they are in another world. They are dissocative and completely out of touch with reality. They may even be disoriented and lose balance. Though users of the drug are not always violent or aggressive, they are very easily agitated, threatened or provoked, and the slightest provocation can set them off. They have no sense of danger and are very prone to doing risky behavior, or even suicide.

Those who witness others under the effects of the drug are advised to keep their distance from those under the influence of blacktus. Due to the anasthetic effects, potential for aggression, and moderate physical strength increase, subduing such persons can be dangerous and it may take up to 5 armored men to subdue him. Simply stabbing or shooting him in non-vital spots won't be enough to take him down. Even cutting off a finger won't seem to phaze him. The user will eventually exhaust himself and go into a coma after the drug wears off within 1 MC day. The user will end up with muscle weakness from overexertion, and pain from the injuries inflicted. In addition to this, the user will use 2 IRL hours of memory prior to consuming the Blacktus plant.

Due to the effects of blacktus, it can be used in a potion for the purpose of rage, but the severe mental effects are difficult to dilute.

How can you ''Save" such person? There are three ways of doing this.

1.) Subdue him with enough armored people. Detain him, and allow him time to cool off, tire out and calm himself down.

2.) Kill him. Don't just shoot him in the shoulder in hopes of stopping him.

3.) Leave him alone and wait till he tires out. He will be too exhausted to move. If you cannot find anyone strong enough to pin him down, wait for the opprotunity.

Red Lines:

This is NOT a combat plant. It should not be used in combat unless you want to risk attacking your allies[blacktus victims will attack indiscriminately.] Sustain pain from injuries you took while under the effects of the drug, or just plain go batcrazy, hallucinate, and so much more. This drug has very debilitating mental and physical effects. You are not god. You may have strength. Your senses of pain may be dampened, but you can be killed if your vital organs are struck whether by sword or by arrow.

Users must eventually tire out, especially after one MC day and lose 2 IRL hours of memory. You may retain small amounts of memory when under the influence of the drug.

This drug alters your ability to think logically or rationally. Acting intelligent on a violent rampage or not attacking your friends if they are physically in range is powergaming. You likely can't even speak clearly.

Magic CANNOT be used while under the influence of this drug. Your mind is completely altered, thus difficult to concentrate connecting to the void. In fact, due to the effects of the drunk, you'd probably forget you can use magic.
---

This drug may seem overpowered, but this is based on a RL drug. Where you can be aggressive towards anyone nearby, and your pain sensors are reduced greatly. Once under the influence of the drug, it can take up to 8 police officers to subdue you due to the ability to not feel any pain.

I will post some youtube videos later  to give you an idea of what this plant is capable of.

Eh... I like the downside of being unable to tell from friend or foe, but still seems a bit.. much for a single plant by itself. Also, why would you consider it a symbol of fire?

Nevertheless, It 'twas a good read and I think it would work well with a few tweaks.

Because the symbol of fire represents rage and other stuff. It can be used in a rage potion, but the mental effects are still intact.

Ah, makes sense. In this case, I give this lore a hearty +1.
