The Burgundy Wedding

 

The people marched back towards Alras as the battle was won. People returned to their normal lives, and the situation calmed down. The unknowing houses of Colin & Volaire however, had their life changed forever. As the two houses finally could cheer with eachother, the daughter of Christopher, Catherine Volaire, stepped forward with Ardarin Colin, leading representative of House Colin. Just as Christopher wanted to raise his Whiskey, she spoke

“My brothers & sisters, I have an announcement to make..”

They both looked at eachother in pure love, holding hands like an arising force of compassion and attraction.

“Adarin proposed to me.. I said yes!”

 

She said with a smile, kissing eachother heavily as they both forgot two highly perfectionistic families were watching. But they did not care, they loved eachother as Oreners love cave trolls. As unformal as that may have been, the wedding was held next day, quite in a rushed manner.

As the trumpets blew their first melodies next morning, Festinians gathered around the newly acquired Volaire manor, chatting with various attendants as they awaited for the couple to arrive. The Rosicrucian bishop hurried towards the anthem, as the staff rushed to finish the latest details. It seemed to last for ages, unknowing where the couple remained.

But there they came, in their most shining appearences. They walked towards the altar, people having mixed feelings regarding this rushed marriage. As they jog the last bit to the altar, they stand infront of eachother. The priest saying

 

 

“Aeriel bless us today, as we stand around these two, wonderful, young people from two glorious origins. May she give us enlightment and strength to them, as they shall share their love until death seperates them apart. May they share a joyful life, and make many descendants to continue their legacy that shall be written in the books. May they, with the support of Aeriel and us, live a life of perfection and harmony. Aeriel bless Alras, Aeriel bless us. The bride may now speak her Rosean blessing”

She clears her throat, taking out a roll of parchment

“Adarin, since I have met you I have had nothing but harmonious thoughts. I felt comfortable, alive. While I am sure that many of my family would disagree, seeing how a passive conflict between our houses have been going on, I do think that this will prove that time changes things. I hope that our love remains uncompromised, and unaffected by the diplomatic distaste of both our families. May they judge, as long as we love. May we contribute to the greater good, and enhance our relationship. God bless you, my love.”

He sheds a tear, as he takes out his parchment himself

“Catherine.. I have loved you more than I have loved myself. You have been a blessing to me, and how we fell in love is something I cannot describe. May we forward this relationship, and prosper together. May our houses grow tight, and work together for the greater good of Alras and ourselves. God bless you , my love.”

 

The priest threw rose leafs at the two, saying;

“I declare you now, Husband & wife. Aeriel bless you, true ones.”

With that, the two walked off while being cheered at. It was yet another piece of history made by Festina, and now this time the Colins. May both prosper as they venture on this new path. And so, the houses became married, and a new chapter began.
