The court smacks his hammer twice as the two accused spoke against orders, as Christopher angrily arose from his chair, ignoring the shouts of the judge to sit down

 

"I find your accusations against me as pathetic as your treason. You think we would betray the kingdom we have merged into because of the Alrasian ideal, the dream we Festinians came to follow here. You are no rivals to me, you were our family! But you have broke our trust and goodwill... We were there at the battle of Zion, so where you. Your friendships with the leaders are purely to put us in bad light, which as far as I believe.. Does make a charge to be proven. Your residence near Vekaro, your theft of our resources and the manipulation of a government official , or even the own damn revolt! Is not something you can just excuse and claim I am drunk. While I do confess for turning on my own principles for being with a woman while I already had one, every one of us has fallen victim to your attempts to overthrow us.

 

Your desperate attempts to show loyalty by shouting Glory to Zion, which you once, claimed to be a ridiculous name for a treaty, shows the hollow promise you had given to Alras and us. The leaders of Zion , besides our true king Syrio & his viceroy Ptah, have no say in this trial. I do not deny that you coördinated must of our affairs, but that gave you the greed and power to perform such terrible act of treason against my own family. In each speech you by accident confess to these charges, that only proves the truth we speak.

 

I regret bringing you even close to my king, as I cannot believe I could be so terribly wrong.

 

Regarding the witness issue you seem to be quite keen on bringing up, I myself am aware that some family members want me dead. That is purely as I refuse to share my wealth with them until I deem them ready. If this would be a lie, they would have pointed it out and through that made sure I was out of the loop. Questioning my so called family is something desperate, just as shouting hollow words in the name of Zion. The incident and grief you have caused us certainly made us closer, but even non- Festinians have seen this incident as well. Some witnesses are scared that you would kill them if they testify, and you should have thought out your tactic better before you horribly failed in trying to revolt against us. That'll be all."

Ventios rises again, this time looking more sternly at the judge, "I 'ope you realize tha' the Alrasian people live above teh Dwarfs, if ye' say the king is not involved then ta' be honest I call 'HIGH TREASON!' " He shouts, laughing at the judge

"This is a matter of formality, we do not want the whole population wandering in here and giving their opinions. The king has all right to speak, if he merely states that he wishes to do so, he will."

chuckles as he rises looking at the Judge, he grins "Ye' fawkin' idiot. We're 'ear for this shet. Its all a pile of manure in me opinion. 'es got not solid proof. I request that the trial be forgotten for thee bull shet flying from these lads mouths." he nods to Ventios plopping down.
