Anyhow, humans hunt Bengal tigers. Humans didn't natively exist in the Fringe, did they? Also, Jade is right about the "Why are they even close to extinction?" There are - as you have said now - plenty of wolves and plenty of other animals. Which predator would hunt and kill the Serpent dogs? Also, I'm out. I don't want to get in a ****-storm. Just saying that this should be more public to everyone if they're supposed to exist,

Okay, one more question tnoy.

 

Dogs are not natural. they were bred in. These can not be concidered dogs.

 

Dogs are created through domestication of Wolves. So, in this sense, created.

 

So how are these "natural" predators?

 

The scientific name of a chihuahua is Canis Lupus. 

 

The scientific name of a Gray Wolf is Canis Lupus.

 

They are of the same species, yet differing sub species.

 

These were created / evolved / whateveryoubelieve seperatly from wolves, yet in a similar-ish build. It's akin to a gorilla, gibbon, chimp, and a human. They're all very similar, with the same-ish humanoid appearance, similar build, and facial structures. Yet, gorillas could kick an unarmed humans rear any day. This is similar to that, they are similar, but separate. One of these dogs look like wolves and have the same-ish build, but differ greatly in some regards.

Wolves and dogs have a pack minded life style. There would not be only 4 left. There would be at least 12 otherwise they'd have died out all together long ago. 

 

But Jade, this has been repeated over and over again, THEY WERE NOT BRED. Get it through your skull. You seem to not understand what everyone is telling you and you look, no offense, stupid because of it. She probably calls it a dog because it's a smaller form of wolf and/or less vicious. Dogs are definitely not simply domesticated wolves. A dog is much smaller than a wolf.

 

It does break mechanical standard, though. Sure, in RP one can possibly take on 2 maybe 3 wolves, but if someone calls PVP that one wolf is getting slaughtered by those 3 wolves in seconds. 

 

Teerz, why do you feel the need to make these nearly extinct? this is clearly something that you want only yourself to have and no one else apart from your close group of friends. This is no hate on you, this is just an obvious observation.

Mechanical standard is required for any new lore, including animal. One wolf being taken down, I can see, not two or more.

 

Again.. I like MOST of the lore, but the breeding specifically to kill wolves is the /only/ thing that doesnt sit well with me.

See what I said about the cat. Mechanical standard and real situations can differ greatly. And I said at least one or two because you'd have to take in conditions of the fight, such as numbers, if people are helping, the terrain, etc.

Again tho as we have already said these were NOT bred to specifically kill wolves. They were FOUND and because of their physical attributes they just happen to be good at killing wolves. If this is the /only/ thing you have wrong with it then why do you keep arguing when we try to point out that they were NOT bred.

Call them dogs. Call them wolves. It doesn't matter. It's a god damn name. Who cares? Really, truly and honestly, who gives a crap? Why do you? It's just a name. Dogs in LotC FANTASY universe don't have to be your cookie cutter form of what they are in real life. That's not how this works. Dogs and Wolves, as stated, are the same damn species.
