Aislin 4354 Share Posted May 5, 2014 I mean that other players can create orcs so they get a taste of the atmosphere and how to roleplay as an orc. A klomp tournament with more pinkies then orcs will be just weird. And you're right, the orcs speak as much on teamspeak as they do in-game at the moment. You can't realistically expect a significant amount of players to create orc alts for a one day event, unless it's a warclaim. Events thrive on the premise that there will be a sizable group in attendance, and when that is not fulfilled an event will crash and burn. This only hurts the Orcs in the long run. It may be worth exploring the possibility for the inclusion of pinkiez. Apart from all that, it forces the Orcs to roleplay when other races are around. Samson Option 9652 Share Posted May 5, 2014 Inclusion of humans is what reinforced the Orcs throughout 1.0 by tag-teaming with the Teutons when we went 5 and 0 against Oren, al-Khazaar more specifically [most populated town in 1.0]. Ill pitch in 32 diamond blocks for your next klomp tournament. Courtesy of gaiusmarius8, friend of the Orcs.
brotherpig123 38 Share Posted May 5, 2014 It might not have to be a one time event. Let's say it is hosted every Saturday 5pm EST. A few people might come, one person might or even none. How about if at least 8 compete (orcs and alts), then a prize is given to the winner. There will probably be wars on or world events and no one will show up, but when there aren't, people might feel like playing an orc and come to a tournament. We could include other races, but maybe if it was like a klomp festival every two weeks? And only orcs/orc-alts are qualified to compete. My whole thought for this was for people to get a grasp of what orc RP really is, based around fighting but also with trade, clans, the blah, shamanism and hunting. Orcs could be like gladiators, people bet on their favourite and could possibly (probably) get some to create more permanent orc characters.

VonAulus 2082 Author Share Posted May 5, 2014 The prize does not mean anything if someone like Kahzo or Goldrim, both amazing pvpr's just will come on their orcs and stealt it. I think the economy is the most important way forward.

idk 46 Share Posted May 11, 2014 Why "no pinkiez"? The more interaction with other races, the more roleplay. It's often difficult for the orcs to roleplay amongst themselves simply because it's typically a group of good friends. Throw in pinkiez and you get more roleplay. That's how I see it, at least. I'm a huge fan of TES orcs and this brings back on of my favorite aspects of TES orc culture. If you are trusted to the orcs (in the games by completing quests and stuff), then you become an equal and as much an orc as anyone else. I think the acceptance of other races into arenas and other events (maybe hunting/wars etc.) can help bolster overall impression of the orcs as well as add a new interesting aspect into orc culture.
