An Affirmation Of Purity

The moon is scarce beginning to rise above Tahn’siol, and Eleron Sylvaeri stands upon the great walls, the great expanse of the Fringe stretching out in all directions before him. The  crimson cloak flowing from his shoulders billows about his tall frame, giving the tall Elf an impressive  appearance… but he does not seem to notice. His grey eyes are fixed out upon the land in a brooding fashion, aquiline visage formed into a grim expression that in recent years has become his wont.

Finally, the elf casts his eyes upward in a silent prayer, mouth forming the words he learned when he was but a stripling in his mother’s care. This done, he turns to elcihi proper and raises his arms, speaking in a cold, clear tone.

“Though it pains me to admit it, there are those among your number that question my right to reside here... despite my repeated and impassioned oaths of purity and good intent. For those whom my words do not sway, I have decided… with some encouragement… to undergo the Purification Process, and reaffirm my blood and right to reside among the population of our cihi.”

“I understand that many of you do not consider my actions in the past to be impure. To spare you involvement in this sorry affair, I will not pester you for forgiveness… but for those who truly believe me to be impure, I ask you to come forth now, so I may beg your forgiveness for past crimes against the pure. That is all.”

"Maybe it's because not all know of your actions?" Seth calls up "Let everyone know of your action and let them decide, say it loud so all of elcihi can hear."

Seth smiles lightly before looking around in the crowd to see their reaction.

Lelien shoots a glare at Seth.

"How about you let all know what -you- have done, Seth."

Seth raises an eyebrow as he looks at Lelien.

"Question me on any topic and I shall answer truthfully, Lelien. I have lived a long life after all and telling my whole story would surely, take too long."
