Bowing upon a knee with a forearm slung over his kneecap, Emperor Chivay bore witness to the actions of Nicator the Eldest in his capacity as a Lucienist and as a man of action and loyalty upon receiving Theodosius's oath. Given the prestige and duties of Vicar of the new capital of the Realm of Man, Nicator proceeded to his enclave within the clay canyon to construct an urban plan to keep an efficient watch over the finances, taxes, and expenditures of the Empire and the Capital. Nicator soon afterwards decided to chasten his family to bid near the Capital and to work together to rebuild themselves. The Nicator House congregated along the clay canyons that stood labyrinthine to the east and bid themselves attached and together after so long.

 

The Birth of the Nicatori Line

 

Born of laymen and soldiers, the House of Nicator shared no pages in the histories of Oren and served as working-class individuals of laborious trades. Theodosius Nicator resided in a hovel constructed nearest Vekaro and committed himself in his early adolescence to the oath of St. Lucien and became a brother therein. Acknowledged early by Grandmaster Jack Rovin and past Grand Commander Voron for his fickle senses, his sly maneuvers, and a strong arm and a work ethic to match, Nicator took his oaths with Ser Alexei Nicodemus of the now newly formed Morangard. His entry into the Realm of Man after his coming of age was froth with civil disorder between the reigning Carrions and various nations forming what was referred to by the fabled and dead Mali'aheral historian Taenost Ihnsil'dionn as the Zionist Alliance to combat the Ruskan dominance prior to Peter Chivay's return from the Furthest Sea of Anthos.

 

Nicator grew more stern, determined, and audacious as he had withheld his younger brothers from engaging in the froth of war. Theodosius Nicator's father, Stylites Nicator had died from an accident that led to his body being crushed under a weak-armed crane carrying stone. Theodosius's mother, Zenobia Nicator held Theodosius to a swear that saw the younger brothers being protected from harm before she passed away of grief and disease thereafter. Charged with the care and watch of his younger siblings, Theodosius secured a comfortable home in the newly conquered town of Vekaro in which the St. Lucienists held thereafter and pursued tasks close to the town. Theodosius Nicator saw to a portion of the Theodosian Walls being erected, an outer wall intended to help control traffic flow, thwart rebel sallies from Mount Augustus and repulse necromantic and scourge rallies from a portal due north of the town.

 

The years had passed, seeing Theodosius Nicator breaching his thirtieth year whereas his younger brothers reached their fruitful twenties complete with libido, strength of arm, and full maturity. Upon gaining Vicar-ship of Kaldonia, Theodosius ushered his three younger brothers Frederick, Roland, and Justinian to make haste from Vekaro to Kaldonia. The four together have formed a decent immediate family, yet messengers were sent along the roads to various settlements in search of cousin-kin and the like. The four formed an industrious pact, laboring men complete with a work ethic and being well-lettered and well-red, they have set out to achieve the greater aspirations of Man from this day, 29th of Snow's Maiden, 1457.

 

House Nicator: Details and Intrigues

 

The House Nicator have prided themselves as hard working individuals, valuing the sweat of a man over the tongue and its conspiracies. Despite the class divisions seeing most individuals either brawny and daft or witty and slothful, the Nicatori have achieved a great feat in preserving the tradition of being well-red and well-lettered individuals and have adopted masonry as their preferred labor. House Nicator is merely a family house, having just started to progress in the realm of politics and service to the Emperor Peter Chivay.

 

In general, a Nicator is nurtured in a liberal atmosphere. As the youth evolves into maturity, his/her path for the House and Empire is based on the developed expertise the youth have gained through aging. The parents stimulate such growth, creating a wider philosophy towards life and the meaning of it. The House does not resort to violence often, but does raise arms if it is desired by his Imperial Majesty. Ever loyal to the Crown, Theodosius Nicator especially lends his secondary craft of eye and ear to the Crown.

 

The Nicatori have another affinity, that is for the horse-breed. The Nicatori have cherished possible connections to assimilated Subudai during the reign of Godfrey and have nurtured the art of horsemanship and especially pay attention to the training of cavalry archers. The horsemen of the House Nicator serve as scouts, skirmishers, and flankers, seeking to breed fleeting steeds that can run down routing opponents on the field of battle. The heaviest armored of these cavalry are given the name 'Grivpanvir' meaning in a foreign tongue "Iron Might".

 

 

 

 

The sigil of House Nicator is a falcon, written in calligraphy, printed upon scarlet silks. The falcon is indicative of the Nicatori's preference for a sure-handed dealing with obstacles, with wits about them, and cunning to boot.
