The Death Of A Horen

Rengald took a stroll through the city, approaching the Horen family Manor, hands folded behind his back, enjoying the smell of fresh flowers. When he reached the manor, a horror overcame him. He watched as the nanny he hired was being tormented by a crown prince for her race.

He shook his head, approaching the group, with a sigh, realizing that the Prince intended to harm her. He got into an argument and only wished for the elf be allowed to exit the city, but the Prince decided to ignore him and carry on. He decided that today, after watching his honor fall to nothing, was the day it would return to him.

 

 

He drew his sword as the prince spoke, only to watched as multiple armed men drew their swords around him. The prince then ordered for him to be restrained and took away to calm down when he spoke a few simple words, yet the words that would be the end of him

 

 

“You are no prince of mine.”

 

 

The prince then ordered him to be killed. Rengald knew the situation was hopeless, and wanted to die with his newfound honor. He dropped his sword and raised his hands, striping himself of his armor. He gave no resistance to his assaulters as he was dragged off to the gallows. He slowly shook his head as it was placed into the noose, and listened at his last rights. A man who spent most of his days drinking and womanizing, yet only one thing came to his mind as the floor dropped before him

Pebble had tried, if nothing else. She had taken the body to the monks, but it all ended in her sitting in the druids' grove, crying and eating cake brought to her by an old friend.
