All To A Few

Through the burning onslaught  of the Cult of Iblees, they drove back hordes of humans and fought legions of Dwarves. All stemmed from one man with one ideal, all to eventually stem back to him. Through the efforts of the Odnarch and Prophet of Iblees, Zemophrenis, he rallied up the masses to stand proud against the blistering forces of the Creator.

But was it in vain? Whereas he was successful in gathering those who did stay true to Iblees as their Dark Lord, they did not dwell where he did. They stayed on the edge, and did not participate in the cause. Their faith wavered, for their Dark Lord had not been witnessed in countless decades. The furious passion Zemophrenis felt for Iblees was unquestionable, but his servants' were.

The numbers that once flourished under a safe dominion under the Fortress of Knowledge took a hit on the move to the Red Cavern, and then hit to smitherines when they once were forced out back to the Dread Lands. Nothing there met them with kindness, only brutality. The seeping corruption was not an exception to the Cultists, who grew weary in the land.

And it was numbered to just one, who day and night worshipped and prayed to his Dark Lord. He waited, and nothing did come. He could rip spirits from their bed chambers and bring them  to life in a whole new world, yet they bore no news of the true one who Zemophrenis gave everything to be with.

He sat in the lonely ruins of what was to be a great Castle bearing the banner of the Eye, yet none dwelled His halls. None talked freely about him. That right was ripped from the Cultists when the midgets came. Zemophrenis stood tallfor one last time, entering the ritual grounds. Terrible shrieks filled the air as the ritual climaxed, and all felt silent.

The Cult of Iblees was no more.

Neither was Zemophrenis, for what he had done was so abomidal that to call himself what he was is a sin within itself.

He had cleared the Enigma of the Descension.

What does this mean? Well OOCly, the Cult is very inactive. Through events I tried to rally people up but one by one people started to either quit LotC or just claim inactivity and leave. Our area was never active to begin with. When the real Antagonist with all their fancy powers gain traction, perhaps more people will want to be like them.

Zemophrenis will continue his Antagonist Arc, and hopefully provide you folks more events. But for now, the Cult of Iblees is too inactive to be a real unified thing anymore. I tried, guys. Thanks for the awesome run.

Doomsinger laughs a little as she hears this news. The Cultists had proved useful for providing a venue for the events of her and her colleagues, but she held nothing but contempt for them. Willingly giving away one's freedom for a God who wished to destroy Creation? The highest form of idiocy, and slavery by any other name.

(( From what I saw of your operation it looked fun, a shame to see the cult go like this. If 4.0 rumours are true, who knows - maybe you'll become more relevant ;) ))
