Temp 2006 Share Posted June 4, 2014 So, with the current Raid Rules, you can take a limitless number of men and raid daily. This is good and dandy except it removes the need for a battlefield and RP has been generally snuffed out for the daily raid cycles. That being said, just bring back the 72 hour rule. Keep the cap removed but force a cooldown to allow RP events and to emphasize a need for battlefield creation. If we're going to be OOC restrained from finishing the damn war, may as well give it some time to cool down between outbursts.

Austin 697 Share Posted June 4, 2014 if we have cooldown we get bored and stuff just have it be once a day maybe make a MoTD thing that indicates what has been raided today and what hasn't like when you log in Establishments that have been raided today: Vekaro [✓] Kaldonia [X] continued on of course, since the cooldown is a OOC rule, that should be an OOC indicator. To get it updated you just modreq it maybe? When I made this post, I didn't know they changed the rules to have unlimited number of raiders. I was under the presumption it was 24 hour cooldown, with 8 max. If it's unlimited then yeah, a 48-72 hour cooldown is reasonable.
Stag 3231 Share Posted June 4, 2014 Getting bored from not raiding everyday doesn't make daily interruptions of people's RP the right course of action. Yes factions are in a war but that doesn't mean everything needs to be PvP PvP PvP. There needs to be time for people to take a break and enjoy RP.
Samson Option 9652 Share Posted June 4, 2014 http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2011/aug/29/world-of-warcraft-video-game-addict Don't be the man in this article, place a cooldown for the sake of those who can't manage their time due to lack of parental figures and/or other issues. Chill it with the constant bum-fuckery raids that earn ****-nothing.

calculusdesola 1658 Share Posted June 4, 2014 As the chief Orenian military official, I agree 100% with Temp. Contrary to what the "good guys" of the server may think, we in Oren are not PvP obsessed maniacs who never roleplay and simply come on to destroy **** - you'd find that those are the people we've been fighting against very deeply. These raid rules are a direct example of the aforementioned - while this entire war has been rendered a petty annoyance thanks to warclaims no longer being able to be forced, infinite raids is even worse. If you're not going to let us warclaim then at least let us roleplay.

Lago 2572 Share Posted June 4, 2014 while this entire war has been rendered a petty annoyance thanks to warclaims no longer being able to be forced Has anyone actually tried to post a warclaim yet? Not being able to OOCly force them doesn't mean you can't make warclaims.
Temp 2006 Author Share Posted June 4, 2014 Has anyone actually tried to post a warclaim yet? Not being able to OOCly force them doesn't mean you can't make warclaims. Skype chats and conversations off the forums. Efforts have been made and there's blatant refusal to establish battlefields or accept warclaims that don't allow the defending party to sit in a bunker with a murderhall for the entire 2 hours of a WC. I'd suggest posting one publically anyway. If they're going to be unreasonable, best drag that into the light of day where the GMs and Admins can take notice. As for murderhalls, nothing a good catapult plugin can't fix. :P
LeRenardNoir 413 Share Posted June 4, 2014 I agree with Temp. I've been staying well clear of LotC because of the constant raiding. Oren can only write so many victory posts, it's getting stale because there's just this blunt and rather masochistic determination by the losing side.
