The Ninkyo Dantai, a reformation of the organization once known as the Yakuza in Anthos and its street name “The White Tigers”. During the later years of Anthos the Yakuza of Abresi was losing money due to the constant attacks from the Scourge on Abresi. Many years passed before the Oyabun Kais Ishikawa decided to take his old organization and reform its structure and goal. Seeing that one organization with many members usually ends in disaster, the Oyabun saw fit to restructure the organization into a more feudal system at the same time keeping the Organization structured like a family. The Organization continues its work through legitimate business practises although some believe that the Organization is that of a shady nature, due to its previous violent confrontation with the notorious Hatter Gang of Abresi.

Structure

Oyabun/Dragons Head: The Oyabun meaning the father figure, also to be named as Dragons Head for use in letters to outsiders as they are not part of the greater family that is the Ninkyo Dantai. The Oyabun is incharge of all operations throughout the continent leaving regional commands to

Saiko-Komon: The Senior Adviser of the Organization, the official second in command of the Ninkyo Dantai. The position holds a lot of respect and the lower ranks of the Organization often address the Saiko-Komon as “Uncle” as the Oyabun often thinks of the Saiko like a brother, trusting him for advice on planning the next steps in every operation. The Saiko-Komon can also be the rank of Wakagashira (see below) or Incense Master (see below) incorporating more than one rank at one time is possible if they hold favour with the Oyabun.

Heung Chu/Incense Master: The incense master is the master of ceremonies in the organization, in charge of all initiation and the organization of ceremonies that are relevant to the Easterner calendar. The positions originates from the Old Easterner subsect culture known as Manchurian. It was a position of honour in the old courts of Manchuria in far east Aegis. As with the Saiko-Komon a Red Pole (see below) can hold this position and still be a Red Pole.

Wakagashira/Red Pole: The Wakagashira often referred to as “Red Poles” in the common tongue are a militant rank in the Yakuza, they play the older brother role to the foot soldiers and initiates. They are given a ceremonial Red Pole Staff known as a Bo Staff as in folk lore of Easterners a warrior managed to defeat a monster with one so to the other members it is shown that the member has reached a status of renown in the organization. A Red Pole has a responsibility to maintain his own gang within the gang, he must have a gang of fifty (Five Actual Players) members and will be granted a street or neighbourhood to set up rackets.

Kyodai/Big Brother: The Kyodai is a fully initiated member of the Ninkyo Dantai, acting as a big brother to the uninitiated Shatei or Little Brothers (see below). They have taken part of an oathing ceremony that is kept secret from the uninitiated and the outsiders. They act as muscle and higher up footsoldiers for the Organization.

Shatei/Little Brother: The Shatei is an uninitiated member, a true bottomfeeder of the organization. All must start this way until they have shown they are good at earning for the Organization and are trustworthy even in the eyes of the Oyabun. Once the Shatei has proven himself he will be initiated in a ceremony involving the Oyabun and close members of the Organization.

Traditions

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yubitsume

BU1yLFK.jpg
Yubitsume is a form of penance or apology. Upon a first offence, the transgressor must cut off the tip of his left little finger and give the severed portion to his senior. Sometimes an underboss may do this in penance to the oyabun if he wants to spare a member of his own gang from further retaliation.

Its origin stems from the traditional way of holding a Easterner sword. The bottom three fingers of each hand are used to grip the sword tightly, with the thumb and index fingers slightly loose. The removal of digits starting with the little finger moving up the hand to the index finger progressively weakens a person's sword grip.

The idea is that a person with a weak sword grip then has to rely more on the group for protection—reducing individual action. In recent years, prosthetic fingertips have been developed to disguise this distinctive appearance.

The Oathing Ceremony

Masks
