Snow Elven Lore[Work In Progress Please Provide Cc]

To me, it seems like the creation of the snelven race was more an attempt for certain players to rise to the top tier of 'important notables' on this server, such as nation leaders or other such significant characters. Sure, motivation to make RP and creative lore might be there as well, but all I see is a power grab.

 

Instead of creating a new race, you could've simply helped rebuild the three already existing ones which were floundering at the time, now all three elven races are strong and the leaders don't hold bother competing in popularity OOCly nor do they hold pretencious titles.

While I agree with TapeSauce, the Snow elves is just one big culture of Game of Thrones. When I played a snelf, I begin to notice that all of the snow elves had some sort of title, or in power. I did not notice a peasant snelf and I especially didn't see a strong playerbase either. One of the reasons why I particularly didn't enjoy playing a snelf.

You didn't behave like elves either. Just Targaryens with pointy ears. What kind of elf would sell their own daughter to an Adunian in order to get an alliance? That's basically Viscerys selling his sister to the Dothraki in his quest for the crown.

In addition to this, and I don't want to sound harsh, but ww2buff has destroyed the Snow elf reputation beyond repair ICly and OOCly. Because he and a couple of snelves went around different nations causing a ruckus, threatening nations and even declaring war on the bigger nations when you don't have a strong playerbase to even stand a chance. Such actions were causing other nations to ridicule you ICly. Back before you guys declared war, no one cared about the snelves. But now some of you are antagonizing other people with titles that represent the rest of the snelf playerbase.

Completely reworking the snow elven lore I would appreciate some feedback from some lore team members this lore posted is no longer what we are working on

If the gene is recessive then it would remain recessive. There is no reason that having a child between a snelf and any other subrace will make a new snow elf, other than the fact that you want more. So there should be a 50/50 chance or less that a snow elf will come out. And there would still be a chance that two snow elves will have a normal elf. Because its a recessive gene that makes them that way, so it is likely that the other genes in the system win in the baby.

 

You can't have both worlds. Don't make no sense. If the gene popped up randomly then it is a slim chance of happening again, greater if the parents both carry it.

My two cents~

Don't call the snelves out saying everything is their fault as a collective. Most don't agree with what is going on. I'm going to say that the overly angryness and trading daughters and whatnot is not an attribute to elves, having played nothing but elves since I started playing, aside from my Adunian character. However, what must be remember is that the snow elves were isolated basically their whole existence, having been living in a cold climate which not many people would wish to travel to, therefore, the snow elves are bound to be a bit different from the regular elves due to not having contacted them for so long. Yet, some Elven ideologies must be had due to the fact that they are still elves.

On the fact whither or not they are a race. They are not a race, but a subrace, just like Wood elves and Dark elves, and are more so a culture having been derived from the High Elves. But the physical attributes are a sort of evolutionary trait to the Snow Elves having been in cold climates for such a long time.

The new magic is something that needs to be approved by the magical lore team whatcha-ma-call-its I believe. 

Now the bickering between the rebels and the original Snow Elf ideas is something that I have been trying to resolve along with other party members, having had a thorough meeting yesterday, just we need to find a common ground on what to settle on without having people rage quit because they are angry or attempting to antagonize people who are trying to help every as a whole as best as possible so that the collective is at peace. I'm doing my best to not pick a side for no one is a perfect saint.

So yeah.. that is my two cents of what it is so far. Also If you need help with lore I would be more than happy to help, having been a snelf for a while.

This thread is pointless at the moment. Myself and bickando wrote this lore, and right now, we're working with the Lore Team to come up with official lore,and it's completely different from this. Expect results soon!

I agree with buff and this topic should be taken down all together seeing as it is not official lore as of right now.
