Narthok 9213 Share Posted June 28, 2014 This would be great but only if the siege weapons in question were minor such as ladders that could be placed against a wall (this would need several minutes to be deployed) or a small battering ram to allow raiders to make an attempt on gates currently raiding is just an annoyance. I feel if raids happened less often but had more significance people would actually enjoy them instead of dreading them.
Neri 3587 Share Posted June 28, 2014 Sure, if folks can't defend themselves then they'd ought to invest in some military training or mercenaries. This would work in a perfect world where we had enough players to act as guards or mercenaries in every nation. Sadly, there isn't.
Lago 2569 Share Posted June 28, 2014 We don't have any siege weapon plugins and GM siege weapons are a thing of the past. Regardless, GMs will not give you modreq access to settlements outside of scheduled battles. Less restrictions the better It's not a restriction because there are no siege mechanics to restrict, this would require siege rules to be added. Besides, this is what planned battles are for. Siege weapons are for sieges, not hit and run attacks. If a settlement has a solid gate policy stopping you raiding it, then just raid someone else. Solaba 144 Share Posted June 28, 2014 Who exactly are you planning on raiding? High Elves who are not very experienced in combat yet? If it's the Humans, Steam sends their regards on inactivity. Any raid you conduct at this point is utterly useless in terms of RP, and come 4.0 we'll have proper warclaims.
