What's going to change?

 

What will be different with a new temp map seeing as we are so "close" ?

It will be spent on building mostly, can't see much potential in a new map really.

Might as well call it a dev map to test plugins, while having the other map up.

Bringing down the other map and forcing everyone to play on this "3.5.5" will allow us to use the main-server and it's resources to not only test the plugins and their effect on the server but also to test their effect on roleplay.

 

Aside from that, the only thing that will change is the map and it's builds - hope this helps!

Lol my thoughts exactly, luckily I normally keep things on notepad cause the ' Disappearing unsigned books ' bug. But now I'm a tad confused, why are we moving to a temp map before 4.0 and then going to have to move once more? Also how long do you think we'll be on this temp map? Will all the places/areas be different?

That's what it's looking like, yeah.  Feel free to submit any better ideas here.

You want a better idea? Start finishing up 4.0 already and don't waste the community's time. We lost a chunk of an active population because of the Fringe, and now you add another temp map on top of it that is likely to stagnate in 2 weeks? This is essentially repeating the same nonsense as Elysium and Kalos. I'm surprised that no one created an uproar about this.

If you're going to release a temp map, at least provide a bit of spice to keep the players engaged. Events, monsters, something. Otherwise this will end up like the Fringe and we're back to square one. Again, just like the Verge temp map, Elysium, and Kalos. The maps were fun for a while until it got boring to the point where we lost players.

Well, how will it integrate tho? Seeing as those with magic already doubtfully would want to chase tomes and what not, how will this work then when I sense many will not bother and RP the magic anyways?

I like to fish......I really like to fish. And I really really like how there is supposedly 100+ types of fish if the wiki is to be believed and I love their different effects of the special ones. What I don't like is how I think they world painted so the area looks different but the Biome itself isn't, thus making what should be a Jungle biome a Plains and not giving access to all the fish!

 

But I'll be really happy if that is changed?
