    Out-Of-Character Information

The simplest section of the application. Answer these questions so we can get to know you a bit more. Please do your best to correct spelling and grammatical errors, this is an RP server and writing is the main form of communication!

What’s your Minecraft Account Name?: - rustycushion
How old are you?: - I am 17 years old.
Have you ever roleplayed on a minecraft server before? If so, where?: - I played on CrusadeCraft two years ago, then a year later I joined Fall of Thenan. I am now a year-long player on Asmalur: Land of the Dragon, and currently have the responsibilities of being Staff Team Leader there.
Have you applied to this server before? (Please link past applications): - I'm afraid I haven't.

How did you hear about us?: - I heard about Lord of the Craft from other people on multiple occasions.
What do you think the server will be like? - I've heard mixed reviews, however with updated lore, multiple guilds, and a seemingly dense political system, I have high hopes for the server!
Have you read and agreed to the rules?: - I have read and agreed to the rules.
What’s the rule you agree with the most?: - "Make sure you don't break any of the server's lore - it's there for a reason! Refer to the lore rules here for more information."
Do you understand combat rules, and what you can and can’t do if you do choose to roleplay as a villain?:- I understand the combat rules, although I'm having difficulty finding anything concerning villain applications. On Asmalur I am part of the Villain Application Team, so I think I'll understand the basic jist of what you can and can't do, however if someone could provide me with the correct link to a thread which contains information on villainous acts that would be great!
Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense?(If so maybe we can help clear it up! You will not be denied for having a question on the rules):- Again- I can't seem to find anything on villainy.

    Definitions

These terms are a major part of the server and in a few of our rules. Please define them so that we can get an understanding of how much you know about roleplaying. Feel free to Google the answers or check on our wiki, but make sure that you write the reply in your own words, not those of another website or person!

What is roleplaying?: - To roleplay is to immerse yourself into a set atmosphere or scenario as whoever/whatever you desire to become within the confines of the setting you have been given. When roleplaying, you should try not to think "what will make my character better", but instead "what would my character actually do in this given predicament?"

What’s metagaming?: - Metagaming is taking information you have aquired out of character, and implementing it into a roleplay scenario you are taking part in.

What’s powergaming?: - Powergaming is the performance of feats deemed impossible in coherence with the server's lore as well as what is defined as being outside of "mechanical roleplay". Powergaming is also defined by a person forcing an action upon another without consent, for example, a powergamer might say "*Strikes his blade into the man's neck, killing him instantly*", whilst a responsible roleplayer would say "*Swings his blade towards the man's neck with the intent of harming him*".

    In-Character Information

Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that you follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

What race are they? (and sub-race if applicable): - Human.

What gender are they?: - Male.

How old are they?: - 25 years of age.

Give us a highlight of their past, What life events make your character the person they are today? This is your character's biography. It is also required to include server lore when writing. (Names of towns, major server events, ect. Most lore can be found on our wiki.): -

Leon was born on the road to Cassius Triarius- his father- and Maria Triarius- his mother. The young couple were on the way to the vassal of Malinor- more specifically the city of Leumalin, or so it was once dubbed, as Cassius had recieved orders to situate himself there alongside his comrades and his captain. Cassius was a respectable soldier in the Imperial Military, having took part in numerous skirmishes in his youth, whilst his mother was a blacksmith's daughter. It was Cassius' job to ensure that the terms of Malinor's vassalage was continued, and that the Holy Oren Empire wasn't conspired against; although his duty as a father was very different.

Ever since he can remember, Leon was told of how joining the Imperial Military was the Triarius way, for a man of course. Because of this, Leon was taught how to fight both by himself, and as a unit by his father and his comrades, although it would mostly just be Cassius. Elven children of Leumalin would see this and mock Leon whilst his father was absent due to his military obligations, and would even sometimes pick fights with Leon; and although the Orenian child could outstrength them, their superior speed would often leave the young boy crying without a guilty face to point at. Nevertheless, his father would keep training him, and as an adolescence he would even be allowed to socialize with the sons and daughters of other soldiers in Leumalin. This allowed Leon to develop his social skills, and even be ridiculed less. Of course, Leon would have friends, although none would be as close to him as Aemilia. Whilst Leon would learn how to fight, Aemilia would spectate and write poetry and stories for everyone else to enjoy. Leon liked her considerably, as more than a friend, and the feeling was mutual.

On Leon's eighteenth birthday, his father declared his manhood. Aemilia presented him with rare flowers she had picked, whilst his father gave him the gift of the Triarius rainments; the first set of military-commissioned armour a Triarius had ever worn. Very thin and intricate plates of painted lamellar overlapped each other with golden embroidery, and numerous carvings in each piece, and so Leon wore it every day without hesitation. Of course, the Elves would laugh even more, but he didn't care. Leon was a man now, and he was ready to rain hell upon them if they came near him or Aemilia again; although this wouldn't stop them. There was one day when Aemilia and Leon were outside the city sitting by a bridge when they approached the couple. Leon was restrained, whilst Aemilia was thrown about, her hair and dress being tugged at to inflict pain. Leon struggled intensely, until he was finally able to reach for his sparring shield. With brutal strikes from his fist and shield, he freed Aemilia in time for one of the taller Elves to pull a dagger from his boot. The two shivered before the armed Elf charged, although what happened next was a true spectacle to behold. With the sunset as a canopy for such a perfect picture, the silohette of Leon could be seen to flip the Elf over his back using the shield; forcing him into the air, although what followed could not have been helped.

The crack of a skull could be heard as the Elf fell to the waters behind Leon. The pack of relentless wolves that were the Elven thugs ran, and Aemilia- absolutely distraut- pushed Leon away; not able to bear the thought of the consequences. Leon told his father of what had happened, and so both him and Cassius explained the situation to Elven authorities. By what was an extreme stroke of luck, the guards the manslaughter was reported to showed empathy, and decided to pardon the crime due to the dead Elf's prior affiliation with criminals, although Cassius believed that this would only mean his beloved son would be involved in further brawls with other criminals. Cassius kept Leon at home for a year, intensively training him before sending him off to find a recruitment officer for the Imperial Military. He visited Aemilia once more, and painfully ended the relationship, as her affection hadn't been the same ever since the events at the bridge, then said his final goodbyes to his father and mother, before departing from Malinor.

CURRENTLY:
After joining many others in surviving the wrath of the Scourge, Leon has awaited for the conflicts and events following  the end of Anthos to die down, and now hopes to fulfill his father's wishes for him. In the time elapsed since he left Malinor, and his current settlement in the Fringe, Leon has been a sellsword to get a taste of what real combat is like.

What are they like? (personality): - Leon will put his loyalty to the Holy Oren Empire and his family above all. Under the rough yet youthful skin of the aspiring soldier lies a heart of courage and determination to do those he hopes to serve proud. Ambitions and pride aside, Leon is a kind and sociable young man once you get to know him, and can often be relied on for assistance; be it aiding you with chasing off thugs, or simply sharing emotions and asking for advice. Leon acts decisively and cautiously; always waiting for the best opportunity to do something he has planned. Leon is chivalrous, and will refuse to harm women and children unless of course they are attacking him.
What are their ambitions?: - Leon aspires towards military greatness, and making both his family and the Holy Oren Empire proud. Generations of Triarius men have enlisted into the Imperial Military, and many have lived to tell great tales of their victories in battle. Leon, now a man, hopes to do the same.

Do they have any special skills? What are their weaknesses? (Try to list a few of both): -
+Leon is a fairly adequate warrior; knowing how to propperly wield a polearm, a sword, and a shield.
+Leon possesses an athletic, lean build.
+Leon is a respectable young man, allowing him to socialise with ease.
-When it comes to work, Leon's loyalty will not falter without an outstandingly good cause, and so his code of honour may prove to danger his life more than anything.
-Leon is not a very good sympathizer.
-If Leon disagrees with something, he will try to make his opinions clear, even if someone is of a greater authority than him.
-Leon has no profession that would allow him to establish a business, and so if he was to fail at becoming a soldier he would have to work based off his initiative, for example whilst he may be able to fell small trees based on common knowledge of cutting a tree down, he doesn't have the skillset to carve the lumber into any intricate furniture, or make a bow etc.

Give us a description of how they look?: - Leon adorns his father's features of fine brown hair, and deep brown eyes. Due to his lifestyle, Leon's build is notably athletic and lean; visible in his broad shoulders and V-shaped back. Leon wears what has always been described as the "Triarius rainments" within his family, which consists of various thin dyed lamellar pieces of armour, which may look like genuine steel from a distance. Underneath this, Leon wears a scarlett shirt, and charcoal-grey trousers which cut off near his knees. Leon stands at around six foot two inches.
