Elindor 666 Share Posted July 18, 2014 Insighting suicide would require consent wether they actually roleplay killing themselves or not (regardless of perma). You don't need magic to be a **** in character.
Destroyer_Bravo 1054 Share Posted July 18, 2014 Joke is that was a bard, but stated in a really complicated way.
Merkaken 516 Author Share Posted July 18, 2014 Isn't this just a multiclass fighter/rogue/sorcerer who specializes in enchantment...? No. This is not combat oriented at all. It is support class. If it does not expressly say in red lines that (like an illusionist) a bard is immune to their own songs, then it probably should. Otherwise how can they pick and choose the songs they are subject to, i.e. you can't pick the good ones to buff yourself and be unaffected by the negative ones. No, it isn't a "support class". Again. It's just for fun. No buffs or debuffs or /anything/ along the lines of combat. Can we make someone really depressed while having someone else telling them they are horrible at everything to the point of making them commit suicide be allowed? ((Obviously a perma deathable thing would need player consent even more than usual.) I dont want to do this, but I like asking stupid questions just to prove anyone who says there is not stupid questions that there is stupid questions. I would strongly advise against it. While you are not directly killing someone, it is damn near right on the line of killing them, so no. Can this magic be incorporated with ventriloquism? Like throwing your voice? Also I have three more questions, can you enchant something that would amplify your voice? Say something along the lines of a megaphone, or maybe something that just looks like a mic? The second is a little silly, if you are summoning sound from the void, can't you also technically make instrumental sounds with your voice much like an accapela, only 10 times better. The third question is, can you play two different songs at the same time, say song of harmony and song of relaxation. Also, here's a magic spell suggestion, The Song Of Attention: anyone willing to listen to the music will have their eyes drawn to the bard to watch as well as listen. Although this might need a category labeled neutral, as being the center of attention is not always the best thing, nor the worst thing. 1. It can be used for ventriloquism, but you'd have to make the doll sing. Or whatever you're making sing. And yes, you can throw your voice, though this is like T5 type stuff, and I would honestly just consider it Illusion rather than bardmancy. And no, it can only be an instrument, and only a real instrument. 2. I suppose you could, though it'd be rather difficult. 3. Hrmm... No. Doing so would require you to look for sound in the void, catch it, shape it, put magic behind it, send it through your voice, and have it affect others twice at the same time, and even for the most advanced bard, is not possible. 4. That is quite a good suggestion! But remember, the list of songs that are here are only suggestions and basic songs in Bardmancy. You can make up any song to go along with any emotion, so long as the emotion matches the lyrics, I.E you cannot make someone feeling happy while singing "My brother ate my cat :<", and as long as you do not use it for combat. tjt810 18 Share Posted July 18, 2014 Does the song need to have lyrics, or can it be entirely instrumental/vocal (opera singing, etc)?

TavernLich 324 Share Posted August 24, 2014 By "self-teach" do you mean teaching yourself using tomes of the magic? Or generally teaching yourself like how a person teaches themselves arcane magic such as fire evocation.

Tirenas 677 Share Posted December 29, 2014 Looks pretty awesome, though I've yet to actually see it in action. How many people know this, if you have any clue?
GodEmperorFlam 3447 Share Posted December 29, 2014 Looks pretty awesome, though I've yet to actually see it in action. How many people know this, if you have any clue? I've seen a handful of them so far. It's not widely known as most people don't go for whimsical magics.
Merkaken 516 Author Share Posted December 29, 2014 Looks pretty awesome, though I've yet to actually see it in action. How many people know this, if you have any clue? Basically what Pink said. There were a few tomes that I wrote IC, and spread throughout various places (mainly the auction house), though this was months ago. Not sure if anyone has copied them and distributed more, or if they're in libraries now, but hopefully tomes and teachers are out there.
Graf 135 Share Posted January 12, 2015 Filthy casuals. You don't need silly magics to annoy or excite someone through music. All you need is time and practise.
