As the industrious construction of the elven capital and the elves of Norithel moved into their new home the forests of Fiandria remained ever watchful over the elves who made their home about its stalwart trunks. Their multitudes of eyes scanning the elves as they continued in their work.

These wicked looking creatures, despite their formidable and normally aggressive nature seemingly kept a distance from the elves. A curious contrast to the spiders of Elandriel who so often used to assault the elves within the wooded hollows of the Elven Peninsula. The reason for this Arachnid's vigil however remained mysterious. Why did these giant creatures watch the elves? And why did they keep their distance so determinedly?

Kaelin, on one of his excursions through Fiandra pauses to look at the spiders who watched travellers so intently. He mused:

"Perhaps the creatures are intelligent? I wonder if someone should tell the Druian about them?"

His skin crawls a little as he spots more and more little eyes watching from the canopies. He was beginning to regret introducing roasted spider leg to his diet.
