Heff 2460 Share Posted August 19, 2014 It was a normal day for most halflings, they tended to the crops, watched the birds flutter by, and most hit on Hannah... the only non-taken female of the village. But Fumble and his son had just returned from an escapade and looked out over the village when a heat wave swept in. In a matter of minutes all the halflings stopped in their tracks. The Priest o' Knox delivered a sermon, the halflings were in the middle of Knox's Heat Wave... an omen that their lord was in bad moods. The town philosopher, Corduroy claimed that it was the Science of flowers, they were giving off their yearly heat, while the Carrot Farmer, Wheat Farmer, and Tater Farmer grumbled as their work was getting much hotter and sweatier. The Heat Wave had hit Gimblewood, and all the hobbits quit work for the week to go enjoy the cool waters around the village.
