Samoblivion 532 Share Posted August 22, 2014 Kaelin places a note on one of the many noticeboards in Haelun'or. He leaves, heading back to the wilds to prepare for the archaeological trip in the coming elven days. The note would only be posted within the elven city and reads thusly: A Warning to all Mali'ker and Religiously Disinclined Mali traveling the Stone Road Two individuals - a Valah and an Uruk - were involved in an act of harassment and banditry just outside of the Cloud Temple. The Valah in question was referred to by his companion as 'Corbett' and was wearing chainmail that partially covered a white tabard with gold trim and a gold True Faith cross on it. I have since been informed that this tabard matches the heraldry of the Knights of Saint Amyas. The Uruk was not referred to by name but can be distinguished by a jagged metal jaw, blackened facial skin and blue eyes. These two forced a Mali'ker two his knees on threat of violence just as he had cleared the boundaries of the Cloud Temple. The Uruk mentioned that his Valah companion had a particular dislike for Mali'ker and that they had picked their target accordingly. The Mali'ker in question was, under duress, forced to claim that he was a practicing member of the Orenian religion, going as far as to force him to recite prayers under what can only be assumed as pain of death. Luckily, this particular Mali'ker in question held beliefs that did not directly conflict with those of his Valah assailant and recited a makeshift prayer and was released, however it is known that not all Mali would be comfortable in this position or have sufficient knowledge of the Orenian True Faith to provide a satisfactory response. The purpose of this notice is twofold - Oem, to warn Mali'ker and Mali in general of the threat these individuals pose. It is recommended that when leaving your places of safety you travel armed and preferably in groups. If you are placed into such a position, unless you are supremely confidant of your ability to best these brigands, it is recommended that you comply with their orders and pray as instructed. Such actions may be seen by some as giving in to their terror tactics, but to preserve life such actions may be necessary. Nuit, to ask the various authorities of the enclave of Haelun'or what, if anything, is being done to curtail the actions of zealous brigands from Oren? It is by no means a secret that anti-Mali'ker sentiment is a daily occurrence in the Valah lands, but to encounter racial and religious violence on the simple journey from the Cloud Temple to Fiandria will be seen as outrageous by many. The author of this notice asks at least that the zealot known as 'Corbett', possibly of the Order of Saint Amyas, be known to the authorities of the Mali as a threat to Mali lives. Ahernan for reading this warning, may you all be safe and well.

Samoblivion 532 Author Share Posted August 22, 2014 (( It's my character reacting to something that happened to him, and only folk walking through Haelun'or can see this. Not wanting to raise OOC pitchforks against anyone with this it's just an RP post. ))
