Clan Dom

640x492_13150_Shaman_2d_fantasy_forest_s

“... And then came his daughter, Dom, depicted as the second greatest Shaman. Dom’s descendants were the most evil of Orcs, and cursed her name for all eternity.”

Through out Orcish culture Dom’s were mostly referred to as the greatest Shamans known to the Uzgs. Though later their name was cursed, and they were more so known as the most poisonous of Shamans, for they committed their clan to Dark Shamanism.

Overtime the spirits relayed a message to the warnation, telling the other clans of the Dom’s tretchury. The first clan to act on this was the Lurs, they demolished the Dom’s foundations and sent their clan into exile, and later, genocide.

There is no straight bloodline from Dom as of now, though the clan Yar holds a partial bloodline from the Doms (though no one alive knows this). Though the spiritual bloodline of the Dom’s remains throughout the current Dark Shamans.

The current spiritual bloodline as of now is Zogrocka’Dom, for having a spiritual connection with Ixli, the spirit of forbidden knowledge. Though, he has no real connection with the original Dom’s.

Government: Dom’s do not have any relation with the Orcish government because they are currently in exile.

Clan Founder: Dom

History:

"The Tale Of Dom"

Traditions:

The Tradition Of Dom

The tradition of Dom, a very simple sacrifice to the mother of today's Dark Shamans. Usually in such sacrifice, the one who is sacrificing may sacrifice anything of his/her choosing, an animal, farmed produce, a descendant of Krug, etc. Though Dom may not like some of these sacrifices, many of those within her clan still do it to simply anger her and send painful tremors across the spirit realm.

The Tradition of Ixli

The tradition of Ixli, a sacrifice of sanity to the father of today's Dark Shamans. The one whom is sacrificing to Ixli calls down upon the dark spirit. This event is rare, due to the spirit being pure evil and very feared among the Orcs. Though one may call down Ixli to ask of him to grant them knowledge of which no one may know today, maybe not even the greatest shaman. At the price of this knowledge, the spirit will sap them of a small amount of their sanity, this varies on the amount of forbidden knowledge they ask for. Though one may call down on ixli, many others which have close quarrels with forbidden knowledge have experienced Ixli coming to them.

OOC:

If you have any interest in joining this clan, please PM me with either an OOC message or RP message, or if you're comfortable to write an RP letter to Zogrocka and submit it to this topic, that'd be very swell. You do not have to be a shaman to be in this clan, this isn't a shaman-based clan.

though the clan Yar holds a partial bloodline from the Doms.

((I should mention that the connection between Yar and Dom isn't really known in rp. It's been hinted at, but only a couple characters actually have even a slight inkling of this connection.))

(( is this a whitewash clan or just orcs only?))

This is Orcs and whitewashes.

((I'd suggest having a link to Urara's story of Dom here to intrigue newcomers))

I'll link it later today, thanks for the suggestion.

(( is this a whitewash clan or just orcs only?))

((Well, they're led by a known dark shaman, so they wouldn't attract any genuinely honorable orcs, nor are they intended to. So, whether you call your orc a whitewash or not, your character will basically be treated as such. They'd be seen as traitors in the eyes of the orcs, the spirits and Krug for following a dark shaman. For those who are unaware, a dark shaman is a shaman who commits the biggest crime in orc culture by practicing forbidden forms of shamanism. This isn't said to discourage anyone, but rather to make sure people are aware that they're essentially joining what is intended to be the orc villains. You'll likely still be considered whitewashes.))

((theyre still orcs that follow orcish customs and rules, just not within the uzg.))

((On that note, I wouldn't say they still follow orcish customs and rules, as being and/or following a dark shaman is in direct contradiction of orcish customs and rules, both in the eyes of the orcs and the spirits they worship, especially Krug. For further insight into the situation, https://www.lordofthecraft.net/topic/115364-gulthak-rises/ ))

Edit: ((Woops. Meant for this to be part of the comment above it lol. Anyways, I hope this answers any questions regarding the relationship between the Doms and the orcs.))
