Damasus Visaj, a well known whisperer within the city of Annil'sul stands by the fountain to make an announcement.

 

He begins his usual quiet tittering, though this time there is an air of supremacy around him, silencing the gathered populace of Annil'sul.

 

 

"I am very terse in my speaking, so I will not state more than is required. As you all know, the prestigious Silir'ilume has resigned from the position of Okarir'akaln. This is all well and done,but the nation of Haelun'or requires someone to manage its finances, especially now in the new land of Athera where progress is our main focus. That being said I believe I am qualified to manage our nation's finances with my excellent understanding of mathematics, analytical skills, and gregarious nature.

Damasus stands silently at the edge of the fountain, clearly awaiting a response.

"Taxation is a valah custom and not necessary. It is not customary for mali to tax mali and therefore if I am chosen as Okarir'akaln, taxes will not be imposed on any citizen of Haelun'or."

  "Though I do appreciate such enthusiasm and willingness to work for the Silver Enclave of Haelun'or. I would prefer that other Mali are given the opportunity to speak. However you do have my support if you can prove you have the skills specified in your speech." Andria Ith'ael says weakly, as she rests in a chair in the inn nearby.

"Other Mali are /always/ given the opportunity to speak when one volunteers for an Okarir position. This includes challengers. I welcome any who wish to face the obvious choice for Okarir'akaln."

 

Damasus takes a small breath of air before continuing on.

 

"As for proof of skill, I am a chemist, alchemist, whatever you choose to call it and have made many successful potions. Such sciences obviously require a vast variety of mathematic and analytical skill. Furthermore, gregarious nature is simply a trait of mine and it is most helpful in government positions."
