Corruption and death ruled, leaving humanity weak and divided. Tarcell Othaman sighed to himself as he rode his mount across the land from kingdom to kingdom. Humanity would always be numerous but great leaders grew fewer and fewer. Did they not understand? Every time humanity was divided it just meant the growth of humanity's enemies. It took men like Godfrey and other great kings of old to restore the humanity to the greatness it was meant to be. But now, in a world of politics and hate, there was no great king. If rulers could overcome the petty feuds and arguments they had with one another, then humanity would be great once more. A ruler that inspired, a ruler that drew forth the masses to unite, a ruler that didn't focus on personal power but fought for the people, that is what humanity needed.
