History

The Buldge’s of Gimblewood hold no bloodline of old or ancient, nor any heritage so pure and righteous like that of the Pumpkin God himself. The chronicles of the Buldge family is shrouded and mystery and the unknown, and nobody really knows just how far back the Buldge bloodline stretches. Most family members speculate, however, that their common ancestor would have been one of the many who settled in Elysium or Kalos, or perhaps even freely roamed the lands of Asulon.

What little history of the Buldge’s are known, however, begins with Mungo Buldge. Born to parents of unknown origin, he was a Halfling of simple means. Like many of his brood, he lived his life ploughing the fields and drinking more ale than one should, much more happy to live and pass in the corner of the world where he was born. In later life he would fall in love with another Halfling, a female by the name of Ivy Danderfluff. She would bare him six children in total. Posco, Pippo, Poppy, Rosphia, Jimbo, and last but certainly not least, Peony.

Their children would go on to cut very different paths of their own upon coming of age. Most notably, Posco, their eldest, ventured out into the world on his own terms, becoming bored of the mundane and sheltered lifestyle that the Halflings lived. He travelled for some time, eventually finding and settling into employment under a big’un, a heinous and improper crime in Halfling society. Though this was short lived, for after Ivy’s passing of natural causes and Mungo’s swift disappearance afterward, Posco returned to the Dale, to assist and mourn alongside his brother, Pippo. Settling back into life in Gimblewood, Posco and Pippo have decided to re-unite together once more. But for better or worse? Only the future may tell…

Traits

“Pure” Buldge genes appear to be that of fair hair and bright eyes, though it certainly isn’t uncommon for other genes to come into play here. The height of a Buldge, however, is what seems to vary the most among the family. Some may stand at a short 3’2, others peaking at 3’8, though nobody has been ever been recored as taller. Very unlike most Halfling’s, they bare a much stronger curiosity and taste for adventure of the world around them, a trait which is often seen and regarded as strange by other families and Halflings.

Heirlooms and Prized Possesions

Hobbit Shortsword (Currently held by Posco Buldge)

A small shortsword found in a ruin library by Posco, the blade appears to have been forged to be wielded by a Dwarf or Goblin, as well as smaller creatures, such as Halflings, though nothing else seems quite that remarkable and noteworthy about the blade other than just that. Though rarely used in combat scenarios, Posco much more used to wielding the shovel as a weapon, it has saved his life quite a few times now, as well as those around him.

Posco smiles lightly upon hearing of the return of his sisters, Peony and Poppy. He'd head out from his burrow, going to find and greet them home.

(( The roles of Peony and Poppy have been taken ))
