Definitions

 

These terms are a major part of the server and in a few of our rules. Please define them so that we can get an understanding of how much you know about roleplaying. Feel free to Google the answers or check on our wiki, but make sure that you write the reply in your own words, not those of another website or person!

 

What is roleplaying?: -  Roleplaying is taking the role of a character, real or not. You can act as them in different scenarios and situations.

 

What’s metagaming?: -  Meta gaming is using OOC knowledge or information in RP. Such as being told the location of something in OOC, and then going there and RP-ing in character.

 

What’s powergaming?: - Powergaming is forcing a situation upon someone, or forcing an outcome. For example:

John goes to stab Mary.

Mary kills John instantly.

 

In-Character Information

 

Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that you follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

Give us a highlight of their past, What life events make your character the person they are today? This is your character's biography. It is also required to include server lore when writing. (Names of towns, major server events, ect. Most lore can be found on our wiki.): - 

Luke was born to a middle class family in Petrus, his mother, Mary-Sue King, and his father, John Beckett were hard working people. Mary was a local seamstress and sold fine fabrics and clothes alike. She made a modest living, having her own stall for many years. His father, John, was a local farmer, and brought fresh produce into the farm everyday. His parents were known to be loving people, and Luke was born only a year after they were wed. As time went on, his parents grew older and stopped working. They became run down, and had to give up their shops and home. Mary and John moved to the small town of Aesterwald, where they were given care and free housing. All of their minas had been left to Luke, and he spent them foolishly,  drinking and spending nights with prostitutes. Upon one evening of the deep cold, he received a letter from his Father, informing him of his mother’s death. His mother had died of hyperthermia in the night, due to them not being able to afford logs for the fire. Luke was left heart broken, and he scrounged all the minas he could into paying for a decent funeral back in Petrus. John was outraged with his son, and in a time of grief and madness, disowned him, throwing him onto the streets. Confused and hungry, the young Beckett wandered back to Petrus, determined to work hard once again.

 

What are they like? (personality): - Luke is generally a loyal person, though he an often forget his morals under the influence of peers, or alcohol. He  is also easily distracted and can lose his way when walking, his eye caught by pretty or expensive things. Luke is quite greedy.

 

What are their ambitions?: - He hopes to get a decent job and a large home, and to repay his father for his debts. He wishes for riches and gold, though also for companionship and friendship.

 

Do they have any special skills? What are their weaknesses? (Try to list a few of both): - . He has no previous combat training or skills. He, however knows some about smithing or sewing, and has a basic knowledge for first aid.

 

Give us a description of how they look?: -  He has dark brown hair, and wears shabby green and brown clothing. A smirk is always plastered on his face. Luke has bright blue eyes that seem to flicker shades every so often.
