How does one expand a map item? (Nexus)

Normally you just put it in the center of the crafting table and surround it with paper. But I don't think it's possible in Nexus...could be wrong

Yeah, doesn't work with Nexus. I found and tried a vanilla crafting table but.. errors.

For a second I thought someone was suggesting to add a continent to the world and I was like yes! Then I was sad. Yay Nexus crafting for allowing realistic crafting,
