Sahvinar

Savinar, or Snake People, are a cross between a snake and human. Having a torso of a person and the rest of a snake. They were, long ago, cultists of Iblees that turned on him, as they did Iblees cursed them with the negative qualities of the other races: infertility, greed and bloodlust. However, their curse is a strange one, with all these curses thrown at there way, they have managed to adapt and live a hard life, soon, eventually developing culture and traditions as they grew. However, each and every one of them lust for their normal bodies, of which can never be turned back. With their curse, they now serve as cultist like servants of Iblees, in hopes of being turned back in return for their loyalty.

Culture:

The Sahvinar are extremely loyal to Iblees, having also sharing an equal amount of secret hatred towards him as well. Much like any cultist, they follow Iblees and sacrifice for him through archaic rituals of old. They are led by an elder, commonly known as the Mariv in their tongue. These elders lead the Sahvinar both religiously and politically, through their known wisdom. Their cultures include daily sacrificing and prayer to Iblees, again, in hopes of being turned back. The sacrifices are lead by a Mariv and using a traditional dagger, they do not kill the sacrifice right away, no, but rather tear their limbs apart before applying a thousand cuts, if their dismembering does not kill them first.

Appearance:

The Sahvinar are half snake and half people, the snake on account of Iblees' symbol. Their legs are that of a snake, slithering rather than walking about. Yet, above their hips lay a greenish and scaly version of what a human was. Their eyes have developed a snake like appearance along with their face. Their teeth have morphed to the shape of two fangs, a pair on the lower and upper jaw, rather than a set of human teeth. Their noses have been flattened to slits rather than nostrils and their ears reduced to incision like gaps in place of what used to be their ears. If they were measured from head to tail, their length would reach up to about 10 to 12 feet. Their height, however, is just around 5 to 6 feet, maybe a little more, but no higher.

Strengths:

- They with their tails, they may be able to grip longer on to surface and climb easier than humans.

- Super fashionable snake-skin.

- They are able to strike people with their tales, however, there tails hold huge amounts of blood and arteries due to their muscularity, thus cutting them off will almost result in the Sahvinar's death. This causes most Sahvinar to keep their tails close and safe. Also, despite their tail's strength, they cannot be used like an extra arm, this is caused by their clunky and rugged skin and muscles. Meaning they cannot use swords with their tails.

Weaknesses:

- They are rather slow, not able to run with their massive snake like body.

- Cannot use magic, their transformation has cut them off from void magic and with their relations to Iblees, most deities deny and hate them.

- If there tails are cut off, they will usually bleed to death.

- Have all the descendant races' curses, aside from humans.

* Also, their fangs don't have venoms! Just don't even!*

*Feedback is welcomed*

As a playable race, I vote no, plus I know we won't be having a seventh race, but as an event race, such as Dread Knights, etc, I really, really, like the idea.

We already have too many ET creatures

We've got a lot of ET creatures that:

1) Are never played
2) At least 90% of the server doesn't know exist
3) Aren't needed, nor do they add anything particularly important or relevant
4) People probably don't care about
5) Are very close to morphing LotC's "theme" into some really horrendous MMORPG
6) Just might be hard to keep track of

7) Might as well be removed
8) Might as well have never been implemented
9) Are "unfitting"
10) People can't relate to
11) Are so weird people probably have problems imagining or adapting to.

If someone would be as kind as to make a purge of ET races, and races altogether, I'm sure a lot of people would be grateful (and some others would be just learning they were there in the first place). It's getting out of hand, I believe.

As for this idea... I'll check it out again once it gets developed more. I don't like judging early versions of lore because the idea just might not be developed enough to transmit the right feeling/idea.
