Now that you have cleaned up the forums.....whats next.....how about all those floating trees?

Joking aside, good work Vipy, always on the look out for something to do. That is a quality rare among men.

ADD THE FORUM ROLEPLAY SECTION OR DIE!

WE ARE LIKE A SUBCOMMUNITY TO THE SERVER AND DEMAND TO BE TREATED SERIOSULY WITH A SUBFORUM FOR OUR GREAT ADVENTURES

We are a minecraft role play server, if we were purely a forum based operation then I would agree but considering that we aren't, I believe that most (if not all) role play should be on the server.

The reason we have the forum roleplay is because some of us just can't make it on the server enough to get really immersed, and forum roleplay is pretty easy - you play as a nation, read through a page or two of posts, then post. Roleplaying on the server can take literally hours, so I for one would appreciate the forum roleplay subforum back. The threads there didn't have to do with the server itself, but was indeed a small sub community.

Unless more than just two FRP threads become active, an entire sub-forum will not be created for two threads.

Thanks for the edits. As a new player I was having a hard time finding some threads.

It's not that just a few threads at one time, but the sub-forum had a whole life of it's own. Many players can relate to me when I say that we all had a worthwhile time forum roleplaying. Even if it's not directly tied to lord of the craft on minecraft, it's still a facet of role-playing. All role-playing should be encouraged, if you want a rich community. Many people that post to forum roleplay threads are also active mc version players. We merely like to try different styles of roleplaying that until now have been made avaible to us easily. To make a claim that two threads is not enough to warrant a sub-forum is to say that a limit can be set on what is and what isn't enough to warrant something. Repression of a minority sub-community's home-sub-thread shouldn't be so casually done. Scores of people participated through out our long career of forum roleplaying, and would still enjoy to do so. Posting a few links to threads on one thread is not enough to support out community, and I humbly ask that you change your opinion.

Speaking plainly, yes an Entire sub-thread is being created for two active post. But you state that the entire purpose of the sub-forum cleaning extravaganza was to get rid of useless clutter that is hardly updated, never visited, or otherwise ineffective. That's not so with off-topic/forum-roleplay sub-forum, we only have one or two up at a time to make it easy to run, and for more people to be in each. Though we may not have many going at once, we are almost always active, with post happening daily, even hourly. Even if one thread is going on, there's still rich content contained within. I have no idea if you've ever read one of our threads, or even a post, but everyone is generally good writers or at the very least good role-players.

But I digress, our sub-forum is a home for many, and full of role-playing.

Viper, that is poor reasoning. You should embrace a separate place for Forum Roleplays because they are where healthy fiction writing take place with minimal to no OOC hatreds between the players of the given FRP. There will be more, but because you don't take part, you don't realize we know it is perhaps better that there are fewer FRPs. Nonetheless, give us that sub-forum and Ill start a third FRP just to trounce your reasoning. Much obliged!

I agree with Dirty FRPs are one of the main reasons I still hang around. Without a sub forum the RPs are lost in a cloud of OOC clutter and they die easily.

Can't you just FRP without a subthread? Pick a race/city/nation thread of your choosing, start a wonderful piece of RP....if the scene migrates from that place to another, start a thread in the new place and continue. This way your stories spread across the realm in a natural fashion, likely picking up players you might not otherwise catch the attention of while secluded in a thread often not visited by the  majority of players.

Nothing personal, I love FRP myself, and am a member of many FPR groups elsewhere that exist in no other medium. But I also love a less cluttered forum. Sometimes from out sacrifice comes serendipity. Lets see if we can find some.

I'm assuming you haven't frped in our sub-thread, and wouldn't creating more and more threads create more clutter then just one sub-forum with a few threads. We also no longer have anywhere to post the parent thread....being as there's no forum role-play section anymore.....If as vip says we only have two threads, why not let us be and keep on enjoying forum roleplaying? One sub-forum for at least 20+ people on a few threads shouldn't generate that much trash. We just want to have an are to forum roleplay :'(

https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/8-roleplay/%C2'> <----- Roleplay section, If nothing else just toss them in the generic section. I'm not so concerned about thread clutter. The FM's do a great job at archiving old topics and deleting useless ones. But the more Sections we create the harder it is for new players to navigate and find the right place to find things.

That is like saying the sub-sections at a library make it more difficult to navigate. Moot argument my comrade, please respect the ostracized FRPers who want to have fun amongst ourselves like veterans at a tavern!

Lol, why? You act as if adding a sub-forum that was already there takes more effort than the few seconds it took to remove it. It isn't. Why it was removed in the first place? Beyond me. I really don't see the issue. Was there a formal complaint? Was the sub-forum somehow clogging up space in the forum's storage? There has to be a rational reason other than 'this sub-forum doesn't have enough active threads even though there are two healthy and active FRPs in the sub-forum - all they need - thus, it should be removed'. Going by that logic, you ought to put every single thread in Off-Topic. Clearly organization isn't a priority here. Just mash everything together! No use having all these different sub-forums so they're easier to navigate, hah.
