Seeking A Master Of Strategy

Greetings Athera,

 

I am Ecthallion Att'riades, Elf, member of the Order of The Black Eagle and aspiring military strategist. For most of my life I have served a a soldier, and though I am not as experienced as some, I have a general understanding of battle and I have a grim familiarity with fighting and the ways of war. Through ought my career, I have become fascinated with the arts of strategy and tactics, the many ways to defeat your opponent using your mind rather than your blade, and the work that is put into maneuvering and correctly applying armies. I believe that the most important asset of an army is not its soldiers, weapons, equipment, or reputation, but rather the minds that go into its movements and actions. After my career as a soldier is over, I hope to work as strategist, and I believe it is time for me to find someone to teach me the finer aspects of military strategy, and to give me the knowledge I need to make myself an asset to my superiors.

 

Are you a man, elf, dwarf, Orc, or Kha who knows the art of military strategy like the back of their hand, and is willing to take on a student? Would you be willing to sit with me and discuss famous battles, why they were fought, won, and how we might apply the knowledge of the participant's leaders in the struggles of our time? Do you have access to maps, charts, and records that we could pore over to acquire the knowledge that they hold? Do you have the time to pass on your knowledge to another mind?
