Skin Making Guides

Any good guides out there that help with making skins? Specifically clothing and shading. I'm okay at making skins, but it usually takes me an absolute age to get one how I like it.

I personally didn't find tutorials or guides helpful whatsoever, and the process was moreso of a long time of observation and practice. For shading, I just use minersneedcoolshoes as they have a pretty good built in shader, but when I'm not feeling lazy, I do it by hand. Shading is simply using a variety of colors to make it look less bland. There's no other real way of describing it or helping with it, in my opinion.

I personally enjoy mixing colors/pixels, and seeing what happens. My tip is practice making character skins for yourself, and examining others!

I use google images, the step by steps and visual aids usually help a lot.

The key is finding your style and then just experimenting with it.
