Shaman types

 

Elementalist: Summons spirits from the Elemental plane to manipulate the physical world, and to use their power in devastating combat. They harness the raw power of the elements themselves which consists of earth, wind, fire and water.

 

Farseer: Traverse the Spirit Realms in search of more knowledge and understanding of Orcish Culture and the ways of the spirits. By bargaining with Immortal Spirits they can cause alterations in living things in the form of blessings relating with a spirit that represents said blessing.

 

Lutauman: Invokes the power of the Ancestors to increase their own attributes, rather than the attributes of other things (Such as Farseers do), and communes with these spirits to satisfy their view of Orcish culture.

 

Witchdoctor: Mixes and boils the force of all types of spirits. They gain the interest of spirits through ritualistic gathering of objects that are linked to an aspect a certain spirit represents, then fuses them together in the form of a potion or a Curse and imbues it with the power of said spirit.

What is written above is the general consensus of what you need to know in order to get started for roleplaying a Shaman, we highly encourage using your imagination to it’s fullest extent within reason. Below I will give some examples and give you a small taste of how to RP each type including Dark Shamanism (Which is more of a practice than a type.)

 

Elementalist.

Zugzug gulps as he slightly bends through his knees, raising his hands to chest level as he tunes in with the elements around him, requesting the aid of the elemental spirits as he balls both hands into fists, he then throws his fists forward in a mighty punch as a glob of liquid magma erupts from his knuckles.

 

Farseer.

Zugzug solemnly closes his eyes as he raises his staff to the sky, chanting and muttering in the name of Krug as the sky above turns more cloudy with each passing moment. Zugzug blurts out from the top of his lungs “Enrokh, blezz Krug’s cubs with lat might so we can stand victoriouz againzt da treachorous sharaa!”, a bolt of lightning then soars through the sky as it surges through each present Orc, energizing them with Enrokh’s unbridled strength.

 

Lutauman.

Zugzug unsheathes his mighty war-axe as he opens his gaping maw, letting out a deafening war-cry as he requests for one of the Ancestral spirits to aid him in battle. “Gromgok! Grant me lat strength agh me wyll bring glory in latz’ nayme!” Zugzug’s veins throb as his iris turns crimson red, charging the enemy.

 

Witch Doctor.

Zugzug clenches a little doll as various ornaments dangle off his clothing, he begins to shuffle about on his feet as his iris turns pale, his wicked gaze locked on Billy, he mutters and odd incantation “Eeee a’ Udrubal..”, as a faint whisper plagues the sky, cursing Billy with enfeeblement.

 

Dark Shamanism.

Zugzug throws down a desecrated crimson totem, he chants in Ixli’s name as the totem spews forth a ashen elemental, the elemental’s true identity trapped within the abomination. The Elemental rushes forth towards Billy, swinging it’s arm horizontally in an attempt to strike him.

There are many more things you can do being a Shaman, if you wish to move a mountain you can, if you wish to create rivers you can, if you wish to turn dirt into sand you can, be reasonable and don’t forget to have fun.
