No you've only bought this up because one player got banned for running through the CT during PVP. I see no reason to go through the effort of changing the region seeing as (as far as I know) it's only affected one player.

About two weeks ago I went through a very lengthy situation in which players were PvPing and running around the map but had issues passing through Cloud Temple. That event was not the first time this scenario has surfaced. Yes the recent issue brought it up again but this isn't based off of one situation. Even if it were it is better to find a fix so we can hopefully avoid future problems.

Kitten you should move this to News and Announcements, it's pretty important and should go on LotC's newsfeed.

More importantly, this seems like a good idea if the problem you present is actually true, which I assume it is.

I say the "monks" should just call upon the pathmaker and create a new path that does not go through the Cloud Temple but loops around.

This should help because you dont need to edit a whole region, which to some people, would just be time consuming. Have the Temple path be just like in Aegis, where it's out of the way and the only time you see it is if you are on the outskirts of it and curving along to the other side of the map. It was virtually impossible to have the excuse of cutting through the Temple region just to escape bandits.

Thoughts?

SPAWN Is the one place on the server where pvp has always been disabled, just move spawn back or change the road.

Spawn is still safeguarded. The road next to spawn isn't atm but that shouldn't affect anyone just standing around spawn.

@Karma

As an active "pathmaker" I would make another road if I thought it would solve this problem. It's still an option though in the greater scheme of things. Moving Spawn isn't likely to happen.

Can we just move it? This seems like patching stuff up with duct tape.

I vote for moving it far out of the way of normal roleplay. The original spawn from Anthos is the ideal type of spawn.

Edit: I looked through every message instead of OP. Let's just pull a jenkins and have it destroyed and relocated. It wouldn't take that much time.

I feel like I'm missing some sort of info to make sense of the post but if it's helping people then cool, more power to the cause.

Question: Why is it against the rules to flee into the Cloud Temple? It's a mutually sacred ground run by monks nobody wants to annoy given their vital necromantic medical expertise. It makes sense to me that you could seek sanctuary within the Cloud Temple.

Build a road around th CT no-PvP zone. Easy. If you want a quick route without worrying about being banned because you are in PvP, cut right through the CT. If not, run around it.

It's against the rules to abuse mechanics to give yourself an unfair advantage, which includes the PvP flagged regions and Cloud Temple has such a flag. It's only illegal when it's in mechanics combat, with emote combat I have seen nothing wrong with it because a flag doesn't stop it happening.

Make a small wall around the road so you don't get knocked off the road as easily, and people can knock them out of the road and by that way be able to camp the runner if he'd try to get on the road he'd get killed more quickly as the one chasing can follow his movements better and start clicking even before the runner steps back on the road.

Lago, I believe it has also to do with the fact that stepping into the CT region replenishes health. I've seen where skirmishers would skirt into the CT region and get full health only to spring back out and win fights against their chasing counterparts.
