Rethai 163 Share Posted January 23, 2015 First of all, Hello LoTC! As you see below, this is the most up to date Application you must fill out to get accepted onto the server. I will be Filling out what is most expected of you (At least in my opinion) and what you should watch out for! Happy Reading. Out-Of-Character Information Please do your best to correct spelling and grammatical errors, this is an RP server and writing is the main form of communication! What’s your Minecraft Account Name?: How old are you?: Are you aware the server is PG-13 (You won’t be denied for being under 13): Try to put more than the generic yes for this answer even though its straight forward, the more words the better. For example, try saying "Yes, I am aware that this server is PG-13". Even though most consider this to be pointless, I find that it shows you can write a complete sentence for a simple question. Have you applied to this server before? (Please link all past applications): I see flaws with this ALL the time. They either have never applied, in which case like above you would use a complete sentence like, "I am new, and this is my first time applying". If you have applied, please don't lie. There is NO shame in being denied. In fact, I know one person who made it first try, and they took 1 week to do there application. If you have been denied BE SURE to link your past app(s)! Most say they can't find it, yet its one click away. This makes you look professional, and an honest person. Have you read and agreed to the rules?: Again, elaborate that you've read the rules instead of a yes. (And actually read them). What’s the rule you agree with the most?: Main rules that I see as a response are Metagaming/Powergaming because they are in this application as well. Try to use a different rule. Like no Villainous acts in Cloud Temple, or no raids on a Nexus Settlement. Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense?(If so we can help clear it up! You will not be denied for having a question on the rules): How did you find out about Lord of the Craft? Definitions Feel free to Google the answers or browse our forums, but make sure that you write the reply in your own words, not those of another website or person! What is roleplaying?: What is metagaming?: What is powergaming?: In-Character Information Character’s name: Character’s gender: Character’s race: Character’s age: Biography (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.): The biggest issue with this is the Server lore, or lack of. I would try to include lore in two- three sentences of every paragraph. Try to have 3-4 Paragraphs. This shows that you can write well, and you are retaining the lore! (DONT HAVE YOUR PARENTS/FAMILY/FRIENDS KILLED BY ORCS!) Personality Traits: Don't make them overpowered, or underpowered! Ambitions: You can put anything you want here, but I would suggest something semi-reasonable. E.g : Mayor of a town, leading an army. Nothing too low, or high, rather Luke Warm. Strengths/Talents: Make sure that you don't revolve your character around the same number of Strengths/Weaknesses. Instead, make sure they work together and don't conflict! Appearance (List the extra details of your characters appearance, IE; height & weight): Appearance, please provide us a screenshot of your character’s skin (If you need help, see our screenshot guide here): When I applied, I said that I didnt have a screen shot. PLEASE POST ONE! Some applications get Pending/Denied over the simple fact taht you didnt have a screen shot prepared! Obviously, this seems like Common sense - I know. I just wanted to prepare a small guide to prevent the loads of questions that can be solved easily! I of course didnt touch on everything, rather the most important parts to me.
