The Druids' Spring

A druid stands with her eyes to the sky, slowly drooping closed with the sun threatening them. She smiles faintly as the sun beats down on her face, taking a moment to just.. take it in. Let it soak. To let the ringing in her ears settle, to let peace exist in her mind before she tries to move. She reflects on the people she's spoken to- Mirabelle, who told her it was best for her to be as she is, a mother. Thomas, who told her it wasn't evil to rule with an iron fist, so long as it was used gently. And Briza, of course, who was the one to light the spark that would grow into this feeling in the first place.

Several drafts had been written and discarded for the hierarchy of the Spring Circle. Several times Isabella had thought she had the perfect idea, only to toss it away as something new came, or something was lost in translation. Now, in a time of turmoil she was ready to say what was on her mind out loud- or rather, on paper. It was something she would have loved to tell each druid individually, but at some time in the distant future, she knew this letter would be used again to speak of a great victory, or of a massive failure.

She begins to write. In a few days' time, every druid and dedicant would have gotten one such letter, and a few would be posted randomly in the realm.

The Spring Circle

Words I'm sure you've all heard by now. Ones that invoke feelings of disgust in some, and in others, relief. I have made some effort not to push myself or my ideals on others, but there is no longer time for that. This is a bad time for the druids, and we need unity more than ever. The druids need to start acting like a family again. We need to move together towards the next bloom of peace, and I have settled on how this can be done.

extends its welcome

The Spring Circle is a family. I, Isabella, am the mother, and as druids call each other brother and sister, the members of the circle are my children. That is not to say we are not all under the Aspects, merely an analogy for how the system will work moving forward. There will be those designated capable to teach, but they won’t be above anyone else as it has been in the past. Such dynamics have, in the past, distracted us from our other duties and aren’t needed.

to all children

Soon, classes will be held at the Spring Grove, primarily in druidic and mundane fighting, and druidic healing. Members of the Spring Circle will be expected to be in one of the two curriculums, though they are encouraged to learn the basics of both. Non-spring druids will be allowed to attend druidism classes, to but will not receive help or tutoring outside of class as members can expect to. Friends of the order are free to attend the other classes.

This does not change anything- we are still a peaceful people, but there is no shame in being able to defend oneself. In fact, I believe it to be a necessary skill. I try to teach all of my children the basic skills to keep themselves from getting killed, and the druids should be no exception. We cannot expect to survive the shifting of tides by ignoring it forever. Especially not now, when we are called on to right the balance by fighting back against the rising tide of evil.

of the Aspects

Spring druids are not required to live at the grove, though they are encouraged to for ease of communication. Druids with families are encouraged to live with them, and families are welcomed to stay at the grove so long as they follow the grove's rules.

Outsiders are welcomed to stay with us, as housing is abundant, provided they are peaceful and follow grove rules as well. This can be a good way to learn what druidism is like before you choose it for your life.

To the druids, this can be your home, and to the lost, this can be your family. We can do so much if we look out for each other this way.

in need.

Fighting/healing classes will begin in a few days, times to be decided and announced soon.

Other projects will be posted within the grove.

Full efforts to heal the father grove will begin in approximately one week's time, after efforts have been made to organize the forces needed. Non-spring druids will be invited, though it's suspected holy intervention will be needed first.

More projects coming soon as well.

This is our new beginning.

This is our Spring.

-A small footnote is attached-

Humans and dwarves have been fighting outside the grove, just be quick and ask for entry.

"Perhaps," Isabella muses, "But for now, we've all got someone to work on flatting."

"What have I told you Alakagh, the druii want nothing but unending ultimate power. This one now, uses the death of many druii and the destruction of a grove to her advantage. Treachery and heathenry, all of it. "

Isabella picks her teeth, reading a book. She knows what people will say, and she doesn't care. Squatting in random places isn't going to do anyone any good regardless.

Briza, on one of her visits to Isabella's grove, chuckles "As if my brothers and sisters would need help with food..."

William sits back, sipping tea as he hears the angered cries and the propaganda. Shrugging, he continues his relaxing activity.

Alakagh simply idled around before he was being addressed. After hearing Mizziyrn's rant, he gawked at Mizz and spoke, "What the nether are you talking about? What destruction of a grove you speak of?" Alakagh's ignorant as usual as nobody had never told of the events surrounding the Druidic Grove.

"Anyways, druids are not power hungry from my experience. They are selfless and don't hesitate to help others," he added.
