Are the gathering methods listed still the same or did they change? Cause I was told farming one was now breaking wheat with a diamond hoe.

[edit] Discovered that the skill needed to receive alchemy ingredients from breaking tall grass is Alchemist, not Farmer.

In the lore you can see what kinds of symbols, what they represent are. Using that it is relatively simple to figure out.

I've looked and I don't understand it. I'd rather someone just tell me the exact ingredients instead of symbols. There is the same amount of meta-gaming from looking at the lore as if someone were to just tell me so it really doesn't matter. I just want the recipes.

There is a reason behind not giving out the recipes. Alchemy is moreso an rp based thing, so I encourage you to instead learn alchemy IRP and the recipes will come with it.

Just go to the Library, there's a section dedicated to Alchemy, as well as the Farming section, and between them you'll learn everything you need to.

Update on the plugin:

 

  • Chances for a good potion are now also based on the amount of potions you're doing (if you're doing just 1 potion, the chances of success are higher than if you're doing 2 or 3)
  • You can use multiple alchemy stands at the same time at higher levels, capping at 4 at Aengelic.
  • Herbalism added. Create Alchemist shears, then right click a block on a biome that you think will drop an herb (it fits as closely as I could with the lore on the herb). Chances rise with fortune enchant and level. If an herb drops, you gain exp.

Wait so, when you have one potion, the failure rate is increased by 50%? Are you sure that's right?

I'm sure, I wrote it that way. but it's not like "You have 25% chance of getting the potion, so with more 50% you get 75%!" it's of the kind of "You have 30% change of getting the potion, so with more 50%chance, you get 45%!" though there isn't anything as bad as 25% or even 30% chance.
