Want to know my view? Dear lord it's going to be long.

Remove the food expiry date garbage - I don't care what the intention is. I and a good 60% of the community can attest to how effing annoying that plugin is, especially for busy players who have little time to invest in the game anymore. Some people have to work, go to school, college, whatever and have only little time per day for LOTC. For those who think that this problem can be easily solved with just going out and asking players for food, yes it can, but no one should have to spend the little time they have for the game stocking up on food everytime they log on after a long stressful busy day. It's not fun, and it makes the game more of a chore than a game.

Overhaul the crafting plugin to cater to Vanilla MC mechanics - After once again looking at the plugin with fresh eyes, I have to conclude that there is nothing new player friendly about this. Imagine yourself new to the server so used to maybe 2-3 years of playing Vanilla minecraft, only to find that how you craft items on the server skewers too far from what you're used to. It gets too confusing, and frustrating to figure out. The interface itself is great, and it's similar to the crafting in MC Pocket edition, but the recipes are not great. Just return crafting to Vanilla.

Stop making plugins that are intrusive and inconvenient for gameplay, and more on how to enhance gameplay and make it fun - Past examples of good plugins include - The Fishing Plugin, and the Brewing Plugin. Want to know what made these plugins good? They are just side-plugins that provide a little extra fun things for roleplay without interfering with normal gameplay.  Want to know an example of bad plugins? Food Plugin, Crafting Plugin, Nexus PVP(which was removed and will be returning), which change how vanilla minecraft worked, and were too annoying and were doing the RP for us.

Remove blacklists and just ban players for poor behavior - Unless there are written rules on what is acceptable and what is not acceptable(which will work with villainy, but not magic), which I do not see, then the entire system will be a flop. This further enforces the fact that players are required to be on the forums to not get screwed over in the game.  If you want to keep the blacklist, start adding written guidelines of villain roleplay so players know what to do to avoid being blacklisted. Stop relying on "common sense." because common sense is uncommon sense and is too subjective to be a factor in regulation. Honestly, it's easier to ban players.

A more realistic world planning.

As it is now, there are too much buildings/structures in crowded placed (Stone Road as an example).

For now, it feels like you are walking through one big town/city from Cloud Temple to Petrus.

I would like more extensive patches of wilderness, just to feel more immersed. There doesn't have to be a building every few meters.... Breaks the immersion for me a bit.

Problem with this is that for years one of LoTC's main problems has been centralizing RP. In Aegis, the roadside towns were good because nobody wants to run up a road longer than mandingo's **** to a city that is abandoned. With most everything becoming more centralized around the main road, more groups interact with each other every day. Sure, it's ugly as ****, but good building doesn't always mean better RP.

In Asulon, the world was MASSIVE, but right next to the cloud temple they had a dock that had boats to almost all of the settlements, as well as carriages along the road that would charge a small mina fee if you decided to ride those to the cities rather than walk 20 ******* minutes to get to the desired city. Anthos was a bit worse because for some reason (Still unknown), teleporting carriages and boats were removed and walking long distances broke up RP hubs. I get that immersion and **** is good to have, but RP centralization is much more valuable.

This is about rules.. for one.. not your irk with plugins and the likes.

However, it provides a active economy for people to interact and play with. Everyone being a master in everything limits the roleplay to be had when people like the dwarves have a vast majority of legendary + blacksmiths, or elves wood workers and the likes.

You not being able to get food is not a issue, just stop making food in such large amounts. Get someone to cook it for you (usually at a tavern) and you are good for ages. This is a null issue because you kill the food market if you just leave it like that.

If you can't afford to buy fresh food and stuggle like that, roleplay it. Roleplay a peasant and accept the fact the nature of the world means that your character is a starving wreck.

Continuation: Nexus provides dynamic economy and people search IC for better gear and provides racial interaction for certain goods and services. Dynamic economy and the likes provides roleplay even if you don't see it and if your that poor roleplay it.

Stop relying on "common sense." because common sense is uncommon sense and is too subjective to be a factor in regulation. Honestly, it's easier to ban players.

I will split this into two points: Common Sense Standard, and Blacklisting.

Common Sense

Common sense standard is literally a replacement to mechanical standard. Why did they replace mechanical standard? Boat planes and the likes.

Mechanical standard and its inate wording made it possible for anything in roleplay that is performable in minecraft mechanics, not limited to the ability to literally turn a boat into a glider or block glitch or place massive walls mid combat or any other minecraft glitch or bug or anything.

Common sense standard enforces that if there is a mechanic purposed there to stop something in a particular manner and represents it then it is against the rule to subvert such, additionally any non-lore accepted objects within mechanical standard cannot be roleplayed. Here are some examples:

- Smacking people through locked wooden doors by glitching them.

- Boat planes.

- Block glitch jumping & smacking people up walls.

- Floating cities without RP or floating structures without RP just because it works in MC.

Common sense standard leaves a area of interpritation which is always a issue because the number of clarifications would be extreme, but there is a general sense of how it is implimented and how it is seen. It says to the player "Decide, do you think this gives a unfair advantage or subverts rules that already exist, like glitching and the likes?"

Blacklisting

Blacklists exist because people might break PVP rules or the likes who get banned and end up just alting on troll characters with their friends and never seriously roleplaying. This gets in a viscous cycle of being a twit on the game and stacking up alt bans instead of trying to fix their attitude to the server.

Blacklists bar them from taking part in combat RP and re-aligning their position OOCly. People tend not to want to get banned so they don't have to lose their capacity to play their original characters additionally.

And as we have seen, blacklisting works. There is far less "Halt, PVP, Bandits GG!" on the server atm.

I think I have mentioned these on another thread at you but you ignored me. Now down to /my/ suggestions for rules.

Ban Incest plz.

I used to be a malinor guard, it was a dark time where I used to have to deal with edgies and katana dark elves and a lot of teenage angst from people who wanted to feel POWERFUL, and during my time there I encountered a recurring issue that was disgusting.

Because everyone and their mother was literally a incestuous sister ****** going at it like a group of farmers in Norfolk. I can't count the amount of times it was eluded too or some **** and it literally is disgusting.

I understand some people are definitely concerned that their 'RP' is going to be infinged because they can't do a Lannister but I honestly do not feel its actually good to have on a PG-13 server. Did anyone meet the High Towers?

I'm pretty sure farming would be a pretty useless profession without food expiring. It'd be a bit of a kick in the mouth to remove it just like that.

So are 20 other professions, but no one's catering to them are they? Why should the rest of the server suffer the aggravation just so one group can feel important? LOTC isn't, and was never designed to have a good economy, so there is no point in having it as a focus. This is not an MMORPG.

Actually, as a farmer, most of what I grow is wheat.

Which is turned into hay.

Which is then used to feed the cows, sheep, and chickens.

The cows and chickens are killed for their leather and feathers which are then crafted into items such as armor and arrows.

The sheep are sheared for their wool which is used to again craft items and or for building.

Farmers also grow netherwart for alchemists.

So honestly, I'd rather food didn't expire, wouldn't really affect my profession at all.

Please read this. These things are definitely allowed. If anything it seems like things people do on the server are restricted down a bit from what is listed. Oh well

:idk:

Anyway I'll just go through a list of my own stuff.

1. No more rotten food please. It's annoying for someone who has little time to come on to have to run around and find food before I can do any kind of rp with friends

2. Remove completely or bring down crafting times. Takes too long and definitely cuts into time that I could be out rp'ing and stuff

3. Speed buff for kha. Definitely hard to represent the natural speed enhancement from the kha lore in rp. It's not like there's a bunch of us so it wouldn't mean much for the rest of the server; just helpful to us.

give us brothels again pls ;)
