Stag 3231 Share Posted May 6, 2015 In regards to the specific lycanthropy lore I think it could fit into LOTC quite well. Not that my opinion on the subject matters but maybe if you were to incorporate some other things into the lore it would appease the LMs? Below are two different types of werewolves in history. Not saying you should change this but adding in anything that would make it more unique will help your odds. http://werewolves.monstrous.com/skinwalkers.htmhttp://werewolves.monstrous.com/skinwalkers.htm Also you might be kickin' your own but by talking about a new deity. Even one in theory makes LMs quake in my past experiences. They don't want you to justify lore or races by saying "A deity is the cause" So I personally would move away from that, even if it's painful. Once accepted it is possible for the group to discover something like a religion but starting out with a fully fleshed out religion is the rougher way to go. Take that with a grain of salt though and do your thang. I would just like to see this accepted. Also the fact that this isn't just wolves but could be any animal is pretty cool.
Kalehart 1096 Author Share Posted May 7, 2015 I'm not sure that the best method for approval is having an origin in Aengudaemon. Especially with a story that should have had a large impact on other celestial beings and occur in the history of mortals. (will edit with new notes) I suggest that the Contagion is about Saliva entering the body and not just a "bite". This would of course be the only observed method, however if someone made out with a beastman they would probably catch it too. Can you perhaps suggest some of the psychological changes that occur. What new motivations will arise in a recently infected Beastman? There'll be a few small odd changes like no longer wanted to cook meat and entering sexual heat; but do they have any larger callings of the wild? The origin section isn't actually meant to be taken as the real source of the curse. I should probably clarify that in the lore, but the idea is that it's the explanation that has been made up IC- a belief with little-to-no fact in it. I did actually have the thought of it just being saliva entering the body, but with the concerns people brought up about inaccurate play of the creatures, I'm reluctant to make that even a viable option for infection or attempted infection. It's just a bit too... Real. I'm trying to make them as asexual as possible, since that seems to be a big concern for some reason. I figure people will bastardize the lore and whatnot all they want in skype regardless, but I don't want to encourage it through the actual lore. I do like the idea of a psychological changes section- I'll actually get right on that. Like I said the sexual heat thing ain't going to happen, but certainly things like preferring raw meat or the like could work. As I mentioned, the origins story is just that- a story. If there is anything aeungudemonic about these creatures, it would be from a previously established source such as Metzli. I'll take a look at the skinwalker when I get the chance- though you linked it twice instead of linking two different things. From a brief skim it does seem quite cool. I'm glad you like the idea of the varied transformation- though I can't take credit for that. It was very much swgrclan's doing. In all truth I'd prefer just simple werewolves, but if the lore team requires something more unique, I'll give them it! Thanks for the feedback, you two! Elindor 666 Share Posted May 7, 2015 There's nothing wrong with blaming Rasmot. Its a more reliable source than a new deity story, though I did say that already. But Rasmot was an odd dude and maybe he wanted his fury companion to be better dinner company, and be able to eat human food and use cutlery. Then it all went horribly wrong, they had a falling out and the thing went off with a primordial hunger for flesh.

chaotikal 2392 Share Posted May 7, 2015 I like. Always wanted to play as a real life full neckbeard man, also this allows for my wildest of furry dreams to come alive, time to finally start that wolf brothel i wanted to for so long in my life since i was like three. Jokes aside, pretty neat-structured lore. Finally a serious attempt at a Lycanthrope.
