Gilgamesh, The Forgotten Uruk

Gilgamesh sat in the dark hole, the top had been sealed by a large boulder years ago, the floor had been littered with bones of Uruks, he looked to the boulder, beams of light, no, beams of hope shone through the cracks, illuminating the piss hole, his mind was soon made up, he would get out, or he would die trying, he looked down to his shackles, the Iron chain connecting the two shackles were rusted, he pulled on it until the chains broke, panting and exhausted, he caught his breath, preparing his mind and body for what he had to do next, finally, it was time, he could feel his freedom, it was so close, he knew he could do it.

He had to.

Gilgamesh stacked up the bones, creating a platform on which to stand on, he pushed onto the boulder, it wouldn’t budge, for a moment he thought of giving up, it seemed hopeless, he opened up his eyes and saw the light, the beautiful freedom that it represented was enough to fill his heart, mind and soul, he let out a mighty roar!

“RAAAAAAAAAAAAGHHHHH!”

The shout shook the Trog, waking up many Uruks that morning, it wasn’t before long that a crowd showed up, cheering him on. the first to show up was Vrogak’Gorkil, Rex of the Orcs, he watched, his mouth shut, not making a sound. some Uruks rushed to help him but the Rex shouted!

“NUB! HI MUZT DU THIZ ON HIZ OWN!”

The boulder started to shake, it was unbelievable, the being under this rock would have to be as strong as an Elephant, the boulder was huge! the Orcs stayed and cheered Gilgamesh on, until finally, he lifted the boulder onto his back and let out a mighty roar, tossing it nearby, his freedom was so close, all he had to do was climb out, his eyes slowly fluttered shut, his heart beating out of his chest he attempted to climb out, clawing into the dirt, dragging his own body out, his muscles had been exhausted, he would need help, and Vrogak’Gorkil was there to give it, he offered out his hand to Gilgamesh who grabbed at it in an instant, Vrogak would pull the mighty Uruk out, who would collapse onto the ground, panting heavily, he muttered a few words before slipping into unconsciousness

“Gilgamesh am free.”

And he was, the Uruks cheered out, the crowd erupting into happy shouts and cheers, though Vrogak was weary, why was he in there? and why was he shackled, furthermore, why was the pit filled with Uruk bones? this was a question for later, the Orc was transported back to the Trog, where he would be set in a comfortable place to rest, he would rest for a full day before awakening.
