What is roleplaying?: Taking on the role of a character and acting out their thoughts or emotions. This can come in the form of expressing their feelings, responding from their point of view in a situation, or just living through their life in general.

What is metagaming?: Taking information that you know(but not your character) and having them then know it.

What is powergaming?: When a player forces their character’s actions onto another player, or when a character performs feats that are impossible for them to perform.

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.):

Aragna grew up during the Great War, suffering the horrors of Thales and Athera. She grew accustomed to the conflict,  yet had never learned to enjoy the senseless slaughter. The earliest part of her life that she can remember however, during the proxy wars of Athera,  was consumed by the death of her father and the vision of her mother working tirelessly to bring in just a bit of coin for her little girl. The two of them were dying slowly, suffering at the hands of those uptop who wished war. Yet their fortunes suddenly changed for the better when the old clans returned. Ariana and her mother cowered in their home when Velkan Ironborn II marched his army into their city, tearing apart any resistance. She saw her kinsmen fleeing, lightning battering down from the heavens and ripping them limb from limb. Her nightmares had come into reality, skeletons and dark magic enveloped the city, destroying the ancient stonework of it’s glorious halls. Suddenly, a hand wrenched her away from the window and out into the storm. Her mother was pulling her out of the city, leaving her to gaze back into the frigid eyes of her home’s conqueror. They traveled out of the city, fleeing with the rest of it’s residents all the way to Hiebenhall.

 

Her three year stay in Hiebenhall allowed her to take in the wonders of the Irongut clan, observing their brilliant use of magic, and view how many of them could speak so eloquently, in comparison to her other kinsmen. Yet soon the city was reconquered, and the Ironborn clan was slaughtered, fleeing with only half of it’s original members. Ariana and her mother departed Hiebenhall with frowns upon their faces, returning to the destroyed capital.

 

It took many years of rebuilding for the capital to be taken back into capable hands, yet almost as soon as it was rebuilt, a warmonger ascended the throne. Grand King Irongrinder took rallied the forces and sent his soldiers, Ariana’s mother included into the Elven lands. Her mother was to fight in a proxy war alongside wood elves against the puppet of Oren, the High Elves. Ariana stood by the gate anxiously after the siege of the Wood Elven city, waiting for her mother to come across the bridge with the rest of the weary soldiers. Yet she never came. She was alone now, tears rolling down her face. She could do nothing but weep, for the next line of kings all pursued war, Irongrinder and Doomforge. She sulked in the halls of the remembrancers, working as a clerk. She could not stand the war that had torn her family apart, literally and figuratively.

 

Then, peace glanced it’s rays upon Dwarven Lands, an Irongut had come to power and restored the land to peace, bringing in culture to the kingdom once again. After seeing this, Ariana came out of her isolation and decided that she would help this wise king in pursuing a desire for prosperity through peace.

 

Personality Traits: Ariana is usually quite, keeping to herself in many occasions. She prefers to simply watch and listen to those around her, making sure she only talks if she absolutely knows what she is speaking on. This will often lead to awkward situations when she is looked on to to speak, but simply shies away from the conversation. She is also a distinct fighter against conflict, encouraging those around her to find a more peaceful and calm approach to a subject.

 

Ambitions: Ariana wishes to educate herself in the ways of magic, while also becoming a diplomat for her kingdom. She wishes to help ease the tensions that the Grand Kingdom maintains with other nations, and assist in issuing it into a new light.

 

Strengths/Talents: Ariana is a talented speaker, and she considers herself to be an intellectual. She is a very studious person, with a patient mindset, able to sit and study a subject for hours at once.

 

Weaknesses/Inabilities: She is a very poor fighter, and particularly dislikes the tides of war. Alongside this, Ariana has no formal(or informal) weapon training, carrying a small dagger only for show.

 

Appearance (List the extra details of your characters appearance, IE; height & weight): Ariana stands at a mere 4 feet 11 inches, with a smaller frame than many of her kinsmen. She prefers to wear light clothing in a greyish tone. Her skin color matches her usual choice of clothing, a darkish grey color, resembling that of her cave dwarf brethren. Her eyes are that of a turquoise-blue shade, shaded by a wisp of deep brown hair.
