Downloading And Installing Mpm (With Optifine)

So, it has come to my attention that there is a bit less height diversity as there used to be. Remember the fringe, where dwarves were all short and the elves were all skinny and tall? Good days eh? Unfortunately people have abandoned the amazing mod that is More Player Models (Or MPM for short). This is a fantastic mod which lets you customize your height, width, and appearance in general! However no one uses it mostly because of it's glicthy 1.8 past and how its sorta kinda confusing in regards to installing with optifine! BUT FEAR NOT FRIENDOS I accidentally figured it out! And now I will teach you my ways!

Step one!: Download forge at the link here! It is suggested that you download the recommended version, as it runs the best. Now just click on the installer button and it will take you to an AdFocus link, just wait for the skip button to appear at the top right and click it, that will being the download. Then, once you have that downloaded, simply click the jar file and the set up screen will pop up, after that, click "install client" (make sure minecraft isn't running while this is done) and BOOM you're pretty much done. After that just open up your minecraft, go to edit profile and select the 1.8 forge. (If you get this then it has installed correctly)

Step two!: Download MPM at the link here! This is a bit easier as all you do is download the 1.8 beta version of mpm (the latest to be exact) and go to edit profile in, then to "open game dir" then scroll down until you fine the mods folder, then simply drop the mpm jar file in there.

Step three!: Download optifine at the link here! and scroll down to the 1.8.1 optifine downloads, download the first link, do the same thing as you did with mpm! Just simply drop the jar file in the mod folder along with the mpm mod.

Now normally, this wouldn't work, the fusion of optifine and mpm, BUT ALAS, the mod makers have added a small button at the bottom of the config screen labelled "compatability mod" you just toggle that a few times (make sure its on NO by the way) and those who also have the mod will look different! (http://imgur.com/mgcDdDV for the button location) however, sometimes a re-log is required.

I hope this has helped you with this mod and I hope it brings a new level of density to lotc. Have fun with MPM!

Ah, this happens, make sure that your screen isn't at full screen or in a smaller window, because the button gets cut off, other than that, I don't know what to tell you
