The wording of the announcement seems well picked out;

 

"...pending possible further review by the staff team in the coming days."

 

It leaves the possibility that there may not even be a review, as well as allowing it to be left for a later date if one is planned. 

 

Either way, the information given to the community right now is not enough to give proper opinions on the situation but is enough information to have the opinion that, more information is wanted and would like given. In the age of Lord of the Craft's staff finally being more transparent, this happens and with no transparency, hopefully it will be rectified and information will be slid our way.

Just a theory, but after talking with Moot and Rael, the best deduction I can make is this

 

Both GMs were very vocal on the apparent abuse of the admins and were removed without being notified of the reasoning. Which led me to believe that both Kalamoot and Raelplayer were both removed in an attempt to silence them. Someone in the higher ups have been abusing their powers, and removed the GMs who called them out on it.

 

If that's the case, someone hand me a pitchfork.

Since I have returned, I've chosen to try my damndest to be a compassionate and communicable person - so here it goes.

 

When I was added to the Event Team, I was rather thrown off to hear Raelplayer was an Event Team Lead. However, from what I saw with his posts in ET forums - he struck me as proactive which I respect immensely.

 

When I talked to Moot about a possible re-addition to the Game Moderator team, he kindly declined me and told me that he is sticking to the Trial System. I won't even lie, I tried so got'damn hard to haggle my way into a blue tag, but he put his foot down firmly and rejected me. That earned my respect. He struck me as someone who is able to communicate to people. This being said, I heard from a certain race that "he banned half our playerbase." So. . did he abuse his position? We do not know, but this I will comment on.

 

The competency of the involved Administrators is lacking. You reprimanded them with very vague and suspiciously lawyer kind of speak. I am not arguing that no matter what, they don't deserve it! I am arguing that they made a terrible repertoire of themselves in this action.

 

• It is midnight EST for Americans, a rather poor time to do so.
   
• You did not hint at the reasoning at all. Even if they were cybering, Lord forbid, such a severe offense should be explained. Even if the evidence is fake, at least explain why they were demoted so no one can get a rise out of the players. This is simple public relations understanding, Lord help us.
   
• You had one of the most jarring and noncommunicative members of the higher staff to make the post. Tythus is basically a non-entity to most if not all players since he is behind the scenes. Where was the utilization of the Public Relations Admin Readicti [i know she was offline].
   
• Kalamoot, Rael, and a few Game Moderators were lounging in LotC's Teamspeak and found out, at least from how I could decipher by their conversation and tone of voice, by seeing their removal from the Skype chats. At the same time, I had a tab opened in Kowaman/High Elf Teamspeak and saw Menarra, Tythus, Kowaman, and TheMathicAge in a locked channel. No administrators were heading to LotC's Teamspeak to speak with the two demoted and this was before regular players flooded LotC's TS and eventually the LotC's Teamspeak is currently shut down at the time of posting this. What is more is that, when Moot, Rael, and a few GMs began to protest against seeing themselves removed, Kowaman came into the channel and basically confirmed it is not a ruse but NO communication took place beyond "memeing". It was also very clear that other Game Moderators were clueless about the demotion.
   
• I tried to reach out in Kowaman/High Elf Teamspeak to try and gain an audience with the Admins involved in the decision only to have been kicked and locked out of the Teamspeak.

 

Before any of the higher staff accuses me possibly of bias and 'helping mah' friends out', I was never close to Raelplayer and he and I were on bad terms when I left for my year-long hiatus and I found out that Moot possibly had me on a blacklist from staff teams which is why certain individuals were given grief about adding me to the Event Team. So no, I am not giving these two a lapdance, I am simply saying this was poorly planned, executed, and frightfully brings to question the competency of certain others. This all going on while I and quite a few other mid-level staff [ET, LMs] have been busting our asses to make 4.5 a great map. The staff involved in this decision, please do not add a burden to our shoulders expecting us to try and polish your own reputations.
