Eranikus 348 Share Posted July 4, 2015 Nature of the bug: I am unable to log onto the server First occurrence: (Providing an exact time helps us locate the error messages, which can help in fixing the bug) About three days ago, unable to connect since Describe exactly all the actions you took leading up to the bug: I did everything I normally do, nothing has been changed on my computer or my internet, but no one in my house is able to connect to the server. We have six people who play on LotC in this house and none of us are able to connect. What messages are/aren't you getting that you would/wouldn't get normally : (in the event of a crash, please also provide the error log) The only message any of us get is a connection timeout error. Frequency of occurrence: Entirely unable to get on at all, so it's happening 100% of the time Are you able to reproduce the bug: Yes I have tried everything on my end that I could think of: restarted Minecraft, restarted my computer, restarted my router, checked my router's information to make sure it didn't create a port block, turned off my firewall, turned my firewall back on, direct connect to server, different connection addresses for the server (mc.lordofthecraft.net, login.lordofthecraft.net, mc.lotc.co), nothing is working. I have exhausted my range of options. If anyone knows how to fix this, I would appreciate it, and so would the other five people in my house that want to connect. 3 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Space 2335 Share Posted July 4, 2015 Try getting a proxy and connecting through the proxy. If it's happening to every computer in the home, it's something to do with the connection, so you'll have to figure out a fix through that, I guess. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Well, its now almost two weeks later. I've been using a VPN. Still can't get a reliable connection to the server. Now I get to play the 'find a new vpn because the old one isn't working and I can't justify paying for a VPN so I can get on -one- Minecraft server' game. Harri 4815 Share Posted July 16, 2015 I last heard that the DDoS protection contract thing that the server has, was changed without their knowing, and they were looking into it. Otherwise, it seems we've been getting regular DDoS attacks that seem to now be able to actually get through the defences due to the change. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
