A Speech Regarding Magic

 Share

Recommended Posts

Cheza stands in her armor nearby as Art gives his speech. Like the other Sirame present her eyes scan the crowd, waiting for any sign of trouble. Her fingers flick and twitch above the hilt of her blade. Trying to stay focused and ready to draw it at any moment's notice but... The temptation is growing.

How easy it would be to use her magic, to go into the minds of those present. Any who look as if they might cause trouble, if it's just to check... To make sure...

What halts her is the mention of a fireball. The pale elf looks up at Artimec once more, rolling her shoulders and feeling the pulling of her scars. Sounds of a whip cracking fill her ears and she thinks further. Would he recognize the signs? Could he tell if she used her magic? Dare she risk it?

In the end she decides no, huffing softly as she listens to him finish. Cheza waits for the crowd to disperse before she turns on her heels to resume her patrol, muttering to herself. "I won't risk myself for a man that maimed my flesh."

Andriel Sighs Deeply, "Art has his reasons for what he says, he has an opinion, as we all do" he says, looking to the crowd, "May the light guide all of your journeys" he says, walking off.

"If clerics and druids are rewarded with power through their dedication to a higher power... Why not remove all books on magic and create a bureau of mages, have mages serve the higher power of government"

Audbjørn hears of this speech some time later, an amused smile spreading across his face as he stifles a chortle of rigid laughter. "I suppose Glacio isn't goin' tae be happy."
