domainoft 191 Share Posted August 17, 2015 Had someone make me a Diamond Pick with Fortune I, Tested it on several bits of redstone and coal and it only drops the same amount of material as my normal un-enchanted pick. Tried it approx 4-5 times on coal and redstone. Got 1 coal per block, and 5 redstone each time with either pick. Maybe there is some other hidden benefit to fortune like higher casket drops....but that would be difficult to prove I think, and OOC nor forum searching yielded any results like that for me. Thanks! CaptainBrock 254 Share Posted August 21, 2015 I believe there is a problem with the "fortune" enchant as I have used a "fortune" pick many times to mine coal and the such that it would effect and I haven't gotten any more then a none "fortune" pick. Ardor 59 Share Posted February 27, 2016 In my personal experience with the enchant, It does not produce an increase number of drops from ores (Coal, Redstone, Lapis, etc.), But seems to increase the chance of getting a random drop from mining stone (Glowstone, chests, lapis, etc).
