The sky is dark with naught but the moon and stars providing some sparse light over the realm. A man clad in dark black plate accented with nothing but Lorraine's crosses over his heart and gauntlets rides through a ruined field. Corpses cover the ground, faces twisted in the agony of violent death their blood painting the ground.

The armoured man dismounts his charger his boots sinking into the spongey soil. Peering through the darkness he notices movement amongst the corpses.. survivors? He approaches slowly his movements accompanied by the squish of his boots and subtle clanging of his plate.

Shambling amongst the corpses are men clad in both loyalist and rebel colours. Their fatal wounds clearly present amongst their torn regalia. The man touches the cross on his breastplate before reaching over his shoulder to draw the massive warhammer strapped to his back.

The man attempts to tear the spike from the chest of the impaled risen but is unable to. From behind the groans of more risen grow louder almost sounding angry. Moving his back foot forward he swivels to face the abominations that approach from behind. He swings his maul hitting the approaching foes with the still wriggling corpses of the drummer boy. The boy smashes into the approaching creatures and is launches from the spike. The creatures fall as their rotting limbs fail to hold together under the onslaught.

The man moves to the wriggling corpses smashing each with his hammer till they are nothing but piles of flesh and cloth. He seats himself on the corpse of a dead horse pulling a rag from his belt and sets about cleaning the now dirtied crosses on his hammer and armour. As he looks around he spots many of the dead bear the marks of false faiths. He shakes his head sadly, pulling a small bottle of white paint and a brush from his saddle bags and sets about painting white Lorraine's crosses over the hearts of the dead. It was going to be a long night

There are a ton of zombies on the field of the warclaim so I thought it would make sense if those zombies came from the dead of the battle
