Riondil would make his way to the square, stepping carefully onto the portal turning to face the crowd. He’d begin his speech with a sigh and the twisting of his mouth “My fellow Mali’aheral, I come forth not to address just you, but the glaring issues evident right within our walls, right below our very noses hidden in plain sight. I start my address bluntly with nothing to hide as I come before you. The current Medi’ir is corrupt, he cares naught for the citizens of Haelun’or and seeks only to further himself. He no longer follows the way of Maehr’sae Hiylun'ehya which should be self-evident in his recent actions as your Medi’ir, and the accusations presented against him whether falsified or true.  His establishment, administration, and execution of the new laws is a blatant smack in the face to our traditions, his use of fear and control through threatening speeches and embodiment of corruption are not our ways but the way of filthy Valah. The Medi’ir of the Mali’aheral is supposed to serve us, not subjugate us with unnecessarily violent laws. He has become so violent and uncontrollable Ikur Seregon the previous commander of the Sillumir, our servants and protectors, Okarir’nor a provider of food and nourishment, and Okarir’tir a mediator of the law itself, was run out of Haelun’or in fear for his well being. The Medi’ir is supposed to serve as an example for all Mali’aheral, to represent the best attributes of those who are pure, exceptional citizens. A perfect role model for us to work towards and achieve. With these final closing remarks, which I hope you take in due regard I challenge you….” Riondil would say pointing to the back of the crowd towards Jupiter “…for your position as Medi’ir.” He’d lower his arm slowly, looking at the crowd one last time before stepping down and making his way to the Library.

Arguably I'm the least corrupt. I wish to be provided with evidence of the corruption you so declare. My recent actions as Medi'ir have been writing social reforms to promote a kind and nourishing environment for our people. As well as on-the-spot one on ones with most citizens offering advise and direction. You say I don't care about our people when in reality I care the most. Fear is in the mind of the user. Ikur Seregon acutely misjudged the intention of a tea meeting based on the delivery provided by a soldier.

Ikur Seregon is gone by his own choice. He could come home, answer for why he threatened a mali'thill with death and directly rejected the Triumvirate anytime he wants to. I'd welcome it as I miss Mister Seregon, but it would be corrupt in itself to allow Mister Seregon to avoid due process simply because he's my friend. Nor was he the Okarir'tir in any recent regime.

Your claims are weak and weightless without evidence. The new laws are not "unnecessarily violent". The new laws have the rights and protection of our people in mind and a fallback on the immortal laws where the new ones don't cover. They have been fine tuned to reduce the flawed system of interpretation. All I really did was define the existing laws. How can something be violent if it outlaws being violent? Name how many cases these laws have been used violently. Name the ways have actually used my power to benefit a personal end? If I were so corrupt, why do I not own a home? Why don't I take more than my share? Because I'm actually a decent guy with the perverted image of an institutionally designed propaganda. You're aiming your sights in the wrong direction.

Riondil would turn a page on his book of purity inside the library, upon hearing of Jupiter's retort he'd simply state "I'm afraid no amount of debate will sway my mind from its current course. For the the safety and well being of our people I must do this. You make a worthy counter argument, but the challenge still stands."

Jupiter speaks to you now.

I did not respond to debate you taking this action of challenging my place as Medi'ir. What I had to say was my denial of your challenge. A counter argument of which you just agreed was worthy. How can we trust the judgement of you as a Medi'ir if you did not take into consideration the sheer gravity of the challenge you made and what follows. This is a sign you might not fully understand our government. Yet, I stand with knowledge of our inner workings akin to how a watchmaker's knows watches.

Are you challenging me for my popularity or are you also taking into consideration merit with this declaration? I did not earn this title of Medi'ir to be popular. I earned this title to guide our nation to a fruitful future. In doing this job, one must contemplate and consider all angles to make an informed decision. In my time as Medi'ir we have not been thrown into unneeded chaos with the outside world. We've won our wars and kept our interests in mind throughout my time. My mission statement since the beginning has preached a State of self-disciplined, respectful, protected and healthy mali'aheral. All my legislation and acts have directly benefited the everyday health of the nation.

I founded our scholarly institution (greatly ignored by our mass populace. For shame) and created a system of law that promotes life flourishing together rather than the solitary decay into chaos. Laws of more detailed nature along with rights were given to the people to protect their interests. Even still these laws are being shaped to fall in-line with the people's design. What we're seeing here with headline court cases is the dirty cleaning up for the rest of us. I have advanced the study of anatomy and thought with several books and reports on various aspects of our scientific and philosophical world. The State must unify culturally if we want to stop our enemy from killing us. This is what I've always believed.

Will the people vote based on popularity or merit?

By our blessed laws the Medi'ir has chosen to to deny the challenge and move forward with a public debate. I will now list the laws regarding this situation for all to see and understand.

Challenging a Tribune (Secondary)

A tribune who fails to gain public approval may be removed via referendum and debate.

Process for Removing Unfit Tribunes:

The challenger must publicly declare a motion to remove a tribune and replace him/her in the Triumvirate.

The tribune must either accept or reject this motion.

If the motion is accepted, the tribune immediately resigns and is effectively removed from power.  In this case, new elections will be held to refill the position.

If it is rejected, the challenger must defend their objection by engaging in formal public debate with the tribune. If the challenger can win this debate (by referendum judgement), he/she will replace the tribune on the Triumvirate.

All citizens are duty-bound to observe, and listen to the debates.

After a debate, citizens will vote to uphold or dismiss the motion. During the debate, citizens are encouraged to pose questions towards the two contenders. After the affair is complete, and the citizenry have no other questions to pose, they are then obliged to vote between the two.

Moving foward with this notion I, as Maheral, will oversee this debate ((on the forums)) following the ending of the current election.

After a day of rest from the terrifyingly exciting Sohaer election, Karinah begins to escort members to the room of debate for the challenge of a lifetime. "This is going to be interesting!"
