Farce

Balek shuffles through the city, and enters the throne room where a crowd of dwarves mingle. He clears his throat to attract attention, before climbing on top of the table, sharing a comment regarding the ongoing election.

"I've returned, and see my good kin Skippy no longer sitting on the throne of Urguan. The cycle continues, a new leader is to be elected by the Dwedmar, to rule in the lands of Yemekar's Chosen. Yet I also observe the farce that I choose to define this election as. Empty promises and regurgitated pathos will get this kingdom nowhere. I refuse to cast my vote on candidates who are unable or unwilling  to share their respective manifestos with the public of the Kingdom, and I urge the rest to do the same.

Deliver your visions onto us, the public, ye aspiring kings. Explain in detail the solutions that will fix this broken kingdom. For none have earned the right to promise, without first considering the means to meet."

Duren would look to Balek and take a breath before speaking

"The problems within this Grand Kingdom are immeasurable. I would hope to fix these problems as king."

Duren would breathe once more and lift his chin slightly

"As of right now, the kingdom suffers from an enormous economical disaster. We are unable to pay our troops and we are unable to support any projects effectively. As king I would hope to establish a lasting economical change for the better. As of right now, our troops fight day after day and complete their guard duties for each week, yet they receive no remittance for their accomplishments. They do their best for their kingdom, yet we can not afford to give them anything for it. As Grand King, I also hope to institute a lasting change involving the defense of our city from outlying threats. War is not always good, but if somebody threatens our people, I will not stand idly by as my kin suffer. Another issue I wish to address is our relations with other leaders. I hope to maintain a stable relationship with the Caliphate. I also hope to ensure that our guilds such as, The Masons Guild, are used to make our nation great again. One of many important things I hope to institute is that The Brathmordakin are seen as a  more active part of our culture. I hope to advertise any and all clergy events and encourage dwarves to attend so that they may learn about our culture as dwedmar. Again I say, there are a numerous amount of problems that require solutions. With this said, as problems occur, I will not rest until that problem is solved."

Duren would bow his head to Balek, offering respect to the old king

Demagol waves to Balek lightly, giving a small nod before starting:

"Ah 'ave made no promises, ah 'ave stated my 'opes an' dreams. My goals. Ah seek tuh make t'is Kingdom ah merreh place, yet ah safe place tuh be merreh as well. Our enemehs gatheh both ou'siode an' in while weh sit not battin' an eye as t'ey plot an' prepare. Our culture slowleh dies, t'e grea' kegs o' ale an' mead filled yet unopened an' won' be opened until some'un stan's frum t'eir seat an' opens t'em. My /goals/ are tuh open t'e kegs an' readeh t'e nation fer woteveh comes our way. Ah dunnae promise it will 'appen, fer as weh've seen in t'e past, maneh promises t'at were made neveh were fulfilled."

He slowly looks about to those present, then looking back to Balek.

"Ah dunnae make promises ah cannae make due on, so ah'll make un promise. Ah promise tuh do my vereh well best tuh make my 'opes an' dreams become realiteh."

Demagol shakes his head at the arguing dwarves, waving his hands for them to quiet.

"T'is is not wot Skippeh woul' wan'. Dwarves insul'n otheh Dwarves fer ah throne an' crown! Weh are all kin, all descended frum Urguan in un way or anotheh! T'is is saddenin' tuh see such angeh an' 'atred direc'ed toward anotheh dwedmar."
