What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying, is putting yourself into the mindset of a character, then taking circumstantial actions based on what that character would do in said circumstance.

 

What is metagaming?: Metagaming, is allowing your knowledge as a player affect the actions of your character by interposing this knowledge on them, which they otherwise would not have.

 

What is powergaming?: Powergaming, is using a forceful emote, that cannot be responded to.

 

 

 

In-Character Information

 

Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

 

 

 

Character’s name: Demorjon "Demo" Ersabrun

 

Character’s sex: Male

 

Character’s race: Dwarvish

 

Character’s age: 275 years old

 

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.): I come from a common dwarvish clan, no nobility, just a regular old dwarf. We were no where near the prominence that clans like Grandaxe or Irongut have, though I always wished I had been born into the Frostbeard clan. Although if you asked my parents, we were just as noble as any of the other clans. To my folks, the  way we should live and act was with the utmost perfection, as to prove that we were more noble. When I was very small I was helping my mother in the kitchen. She set me up on a table and I proceeded to fall out the window. I tumbled down the mountain until I finally came to rest outside the mouth of a large cave. I made my way inside and found it wasn’t so bad. So I made it my home, and vowed one day I would build that cave into something I could be proud of. I spent my years mining and hunting in the woods nearby. As wars raged and power changed hands within the Grand Kingdom, I gave it no thought. Somehow it never affected me, so I didn't let it bother me. I have lived through the first, second, and now third Grand Kingdom of Uraguan, and I don't intend to get involved in politics now. Travelers would stop now and then and soon I had quite a trade business going. People would stop, take a rest in my home, drink and make merry, then trade me for things they required for travel and would be on their way. I became fond of using an ax in my work, and like the heroes of old I named my ax. Thus Bartholomew and I became companions. After a number of years in the cave I had built it into a beautiful home with a distillery and a huge mine made of crisscrossing tunnels in almost a labyrinth. When I finally felt like I had accomplished something I made my trek back up the mountain. I came before my mother and father who were over joyed to have their son back. At least at first. I took them down and showed them my cave home, and they were disgusted. They told me I was living in the dirt like an animal and I should be ashamed of myself. My father then denounced me as his son and returned home, where he ordered I was to be kept out. I made a promise on that day, that I would make myself higher and greater than my father, and prove that old man wrong.

Personality Traits: I am sometimes gruff and lacking in social graces, but when it comes to my family, friends, or fellow adventurers, you will not find one who rivals me in loyalty.

 

Ambitions: I wish to regain my honor, and one day become a brew master, fashioning quality dwarvish ales in the ways of old. Hopefully, I will one day build a fine tavern in my cave.

 

Strengths/Talents: I am quite handy with an axe, whether splitting stone or splitting heads. I have a knack for brewery and am good with animals. I can sing quite a shanty if the occasion calls for it and I can kick back liquor with the best of them. 

 

Weaknesses/Inabilities: I can be impulsive at times, always hack first and never ask questions, because they’re dead. I have a soft spot in my heart for fair maids, which sometimes leads me into trouble.

 

Appearance (List the extra details of your characters appearance, IE; height & weight): I am 5’ tall, weigh around 180 pounds. I have a long beard, usually braided and have one solid white eye, which is blind. I am scattered with tattoos, each telling the tale of a grand adventure. I usually don a fine woolen hat before I take off on any journey, and my ax, Bartholomew, never leaves my side.
