A Call to Salah for the fallen.

The daylight is still young, but the air feels unsettling. Even though the skies above the hot deserts of Khalestine were clear, something felt amiss.. A void if anything, had formed within many people of Vailor. It could be felt quite clearly, even without the connection into the realm of magic. But why? What was this void, what was this sorrow, this regret, this hatred, this confusion... So many feelings bundled up into one spot in each and every living person. Even the Caliph had noticed it loom about the air, he even felt it within himself. But why? How long had this unsettling feeling been around for? What exactly caused it?

It took the Caliph months to understand after his first realization of this feeling of void, and he believed he knew what it was. . .

It was the uncertainty of death.

The Caliph understood now, he understood this feeling of many feelings. Death; it lingers all around through the will of Allah, the Creator of all beings, the one God of all races, beings, and things. We feel this void of emptiness each time we lose someone very close or dear to us, it is as if we lose a piece of ourselves each time our loved one passes on. But, this void can never be mended due to the uncertainty we continually hold over the ones we've lost. What will happen to them? Will they truly make it to paradise? What will become of me? So many questions. . . How to answer them all?

The Caliph Faiz Kharadeen then walked to his balcony overlooking the bustling streets, watching everyone go about their daily lives, sensing the unsettling void within many. He looks to his Mesakha, giving her the word to spread to all couriers, heralds, and public figures to let the public know of an upcoming salah, or mass.

"The Caliph of Khalestine, Faiz Kharadeen, has called for salah this upcoming month to pray for the final resting's of our respected and loved ones! The mass will be held by the Caliph himself, and opens this day for all! Righteous faith, Canonist faith, aspects faith, brathmordikan faith, the faith of spirits, all faiths are welcomed to attend, even the faithless! The Caliph only asks that you respect the sacred sanctuary of the Masjid. There will be no conflict within the entire nation of Khalestine for this day, in commemoration of all the fallen throughout the centuries. We ask only of your peace and understanding, those that dare cause trouble during this day will forever be exiled from Khalestine and may even face severe punishments after the day has passed. Remember to take off your shoes when entering the masjid, and do not bring in any weaponry. We ask you treat our holy sites with respect, just like how you would treat your own! This is a day to pray for your loved ones, a day for remembrance. Let us never forget those we have lost."
