Brennyn has crossed over

It was the seed of Malin's Welcome when Brennyn Denaseth left Al Wakhrah to take a walk in hopes of seeking inspiration for the task she had been given by her fiance, Alai Kharadeen, to revamp the interior of his spacious room in the palace. She was to move in once they were wed and Alai wanted it to feel like home to her.

 

She was walking across the bridge when a group of people rushed by her and one of them bumped into her pretty hard which knocked her over. She turned to glare at the group of people as they continued towards the city with haste. Brennyn scoffed and brought herself back up to standing and brushed herself off before realizing the ring Alai had given her was no longer on her finger. She assumed that it had fallen off and searched the entire bridge with no luck.

 

She looked over the bridge where she had fallen and narrowed her eyes as she scanned the water below. Finally! Her eyes met a glistening light from below the water. She knew it had to be her ring catching and reflecting the light so she crossed the bridge and made her way to the side of the river. She grabbed a large stick and tied her dress up and made her way into the water cautiously. Knowing she was unable to swim, she proceeded into the water as far as she could to hopefully reach the ring with the stick she had in her hand.

 

Her persistence paid off and she was able to thread the stick into her ring that lay below the river. She filled with excitement as she slowly lifted it to the water's surface. Unfortunately she lost her footing as she reached with her other hand to grab the ring. Brennyn slipped below the water's surface and panic ensued as she began to drown. Eventually her efforts and struggle to reach the surface for air grew feeble causing her to gasp for air below the depths. As her lungs filled with water her weak gaze met the water's surface above her and the light shined down on her face. Thoughts and memories of her father Amethu ran through her head. She knew this was the end for her and before she could feel sad her eyes closed and she crossed over.

*As Axel passes down the bridge from a walk, he glares down at the water below the bridge. He notices a strange body at the bottom. Axel would start to sink into tears as he watches the poor child lay in the water, dead. His mind rushes of the past memories… He takes out his cloth which have his initials: A.B.

"Poor child, she wasn't even that old…" he would think, setting down the cloth into the water which then floats onto her body.

"I should of been there…" he would say, still filling up with tears.

"She deserves better in the Seven Skies…" he would say, looking up.

"Future sightings, my young friend… Future sightings…" he would say, smiling slightly…
