Nation/Settlement/Guild Name: Settlement name will be Mount Locklear, the name of the group will be Uldar’s Folk, a group of malcontent dwarves led by my character who is their leader and prospective ‘Lord of the Blue Mountains’, the land under the control of the group.

Upon Gauldrim the Banished’s (Formerly Gauldrim Irongut) exile from the Grand Kingdom of Urguan following the scandal surrounding the Grand Edict of Partition, he was forced into hiding. The toll of losing his home and people of his four-hundred year life span, there was to be obvious internal and mental turmoil inside the once proud dwarf. His time dedicated now to brooding over what he once had, the mistakes he had made and what could have been. After dwelling on it for a handful of years, the ambitious Gauldrim has set himself a new goal, to build a safe haven for those Dwedmar that seek asylum from the merciless clutches of the tyrannical Empire and the pederastic government of the so-called ‘Grand Kingdom’. Humanity’s power and authority makes them the greatest superpower of the known world, and Gauldrim’s inability to satisfy the Emperor’s territorial ambitions in Urguan has led to an irreparable rift between the two former friends. Acts of brutality and hate fester in the land as the dwarves suffer in the aftermath of their failed war of aggression upon the mighty and vengeful Holy Orenian Empire.

 

Amassing his own finances and supporters, Gauldrim seeks to rebuild and reinvigorate those that followed the late Grand King Uldar’s ideals and ethics. Humanity will be repulsed from the lands and those that remain following the gruesome war will be invited to seek solace here behind the walls of the leader of Uldar’s Folk and Lord of the Blue Mountains. Gauldrim wishes to offer a place of worship, sanctity, and cooperation in the land he wishes to establish. His ideals are to enforce and establish a rigid dwarven culture distant from the decadence and debauchery found in the Grand Kingdom, revolving around ancient dwarven rites and interpretations of faith, harkening to simpler times in tight-knit communities. By the grace of his own virtuosity he invites those that have been disrupted, wounded, hurt and displaced by the current wars to live and to rekindle under his watchful eye a minor dwarf-realm under new banners and forward-thinking leadership free from the bondage of both the Grand Kingdom and the Empire.

Balon Bloodstone is a figure which I made around the summertime but later put on hiatus, a character which was meant as a relief from lotc politics. Now that my friend Redbench is starting up this thing I'm pulling Balon back into the game. So there's that.
